TNA Wrestling is live tonight from “The Windy City.”
The annual TNA Lockdown pay-per-view takes place this evening at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Chris Bey Wrote & Performed Theme
The first thing we learned was that the official theme song for Lockdown was written and performed by none other that Chris Bey. Cool! Also, the ever controversial (i guess?) Avery Styles will appear.
The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch) vs. Rich Swann & BDE
To no one’s surprise, the Righteous have gotten weirder after emerging from the Lake of Reincarnation. Their new forms really have a thing fo BDE and they ahve been trying to convince him to join their team/cult and turn on Rich Swann. Personally, I’d love for this to be the start of a long-term recruiting attempt by The Righteous.
Dutch and Vincent were in control for most of it, with Vincent constantly trying to get BDE (in some dope Miles Morales-style Spider-Man gear) to change sides and join The Righteous in whatever they are planning. Eventually they won with Orange Sunshine on BDE.

Candice Michelle Joins In
Candice Michelle joined the team of Hannifan, Rehwoldt and Daria Rae to discuss the Knockouts matches of the evening. She didn’t say anything terribly surprising, but it was nice to see her.
Trey Miguel vs. Agent Zero
Another match with no cage, but hey, we’re going to get nine of them later, so no big deal. Also another match with no commetary, but at least the crowd was a bit bigger so it didn’t give me pandemic-era flashbacks of wrestlers working in silence. Trey Miguel continues renewing his feud with Order 4 by taking on Agent 0. I’d have gone with Skylar, but this is a decent start.
Miguel was also in Spider-Man themed gear, but his were more 90’s animated Spider-Man, that said “SpiderTrey” on them. Agent 0 used his size to block and counter much of Miguel’s high-flying offense, but Miguel was able to take him to task a few times before getting crunched. In the end, Miguel caught him with a roll up off of a slam attempt and that was it.

Indi Hartwell Joins In
Indi Hartwell joined the hosting crew to declare that she was next in line for the Knockouts title, no matter who wins tonight. Rae said “nah.” Hartwell said that Rae’s decisions suck and her management is “stinking up the joint.” Courting the 8-year demographic, Hartwell called her “Diarrhea Rae.” Rae said that she should watch her mouth, then left.
While all that was going on, the production team was setting up the cage around the ring. It looked like the old-school WWF/E blue cage, but painted black because edgy. I really liked the look of it though and think it’s an improvement on the chain-link look.
Ace Steel showed up because Chicago and that other guy from the Windy City was busy. He predicted that Moose will lost to Frankie Kazarian in their match tonight.
TNA Lockdown 2026
After playing what sounded like a local high school band running through the US National Anthem, the opening video package played and we were into the first match of the night.
The Final Encore: AJ Francis vs. Elijah
They are calling this the Final Encore, so maybe Elijah and Francis will duet on ‘Free Bird.”
At any rate, a long, long time ago, Francis bought Elijah’s name, likeness and music publishing out from underneath them, which, granted, was pretty sneaky. Elijah won all that back at Slammiversary, but then he injured Francis’ pal Expressions with Highwayman’s Farewell. Elijah also refused to chip into the analog GoFundMe (aka a hat) that Francis wanted to use to pay Expression’s medical bills. Elijah also helped the Home Town Man beat Francis last week. Wait, who’s supposed to be the heel here?
Francis hit Elijah with a high knee right off the top and went for a Down Payment chokeslam, but Elijah countered it and clotheslined him off the ropes. Elijah walked with the Undertaker, then followed it up with a stunner to get the first 2-count of the match.
Elijah went for a crossbody, but Francis caught him in mid air and then threw him into the steel. Francis put him on his shoulders and then kind of Samoan Dropped Elijah back-first into he cage. He went to charge him, but Elijah ducked and Francis ran into a wall.
Elijah went up top and Francis followed. They traded punches until Elijah slipped underneath and hit a super powerbomb on Francis. Elijah went up top again and so did Francis. Elijah hit him with a right hand and Francis fell to the mat. Elijah dropped an elbow and went for the cover, but Francis kicked out.
Elijah went up the 14 feet to the top of the cage and Francis followed. Elijah then Walked with him fora couple of steps, but Francis pulled him down onto the steel of the cage. They sat up there trading punches until Francis got a headbutt in and Elijah stepped down a bit. He then grabbed Francis and superplexed him from the “top” of the cage (It was actually from the top rope, using the cage a brace).
Suddenly a PA wheeled out Expressionsin a wheelchair and neck brace. Francis tried to capitalize on that distraction, but Elijah countered. Francis grabbed him with a Cash Out for two.
Francis then asked for the Ref to unlock the cage door, even though this match requires a pin in the ring. Elijah hit him with a Final Note and then went to close the cage, but Expressions slammed it on his head. Francis speared Elijah and went for the cover, but Elijah kicked out at two.
Francis called for a Down Payment, but when he lifted Elijah up, he grabbed the cage and turned it into a Drifter Destroyer. Elijah made the cover, but Expressions flew in a broke it up. Elijah went after Expressions and bounced him off the cage. Elijah laide Expressions out with The Highwayman’s Farewell, but Francis hit him with a moonsault and then the Down Playment to pin Elijah.
Match Result: AJ Francis defeated Elijah
After the match, The Home Town man sauntered down to the ring and gave Elijah a guitar. Elijah went up top and drilled Francis over the head with it.
-Backstage, Allie was interviewed about her missing Tag Partner, Rosemary. Allie said that she hasn’t heard or been able to find her. So, she called the police. Nope, wait, she called someone else who will be her partner tonight, but we won’t find out who it is until bell time.
TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship Match: DemonxBunny (Allie & Mystery Partner) vs The Elegance Brand (Heather by Elegance & M by Elegance) w/ The Concierge & Mr. Elegance
Which turned out to be a lot sooner than we thought.
The TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships have been in flux as Allie’s partner in DEMONxBUNNY Rosemary has been nowhere to be found. The police have not been called, but a cryptic message was scrolled on a mirror in lipstick. Allie will have a Mystery Partner to take on the Elegance Brand who just last week were denied an All-Elegance Knockouts TV Championship Tournament Final when Heather lost to Jada Stone. The Now-Not-Blind Concierge (which is not a Tom Waits song, by the way) says this is their road to redemption.
As if they heard me talking, the Elegance Brand arrived dressed as sexy cops. I can see no other reason for that aside from the jokes I made earlier.
Allie the showed up with both title belts and introduced her mystery partner: Kiera Hogan! Hogan is a two-time Knockouts Champion who’s been with AEW/ROH since 2021. She was also banished to the undead realms, but seems ok now.
So, this match is under regular tag team rules which means that wrestler have to tag in and out while their partner stand akwardsly sandwiched between the ringpost and the cage.
Allie and M started things off with Allie screaming her way through everything M threw at her. Hogan and Heather tagged in and Allie joined her for a quick double team in the corner. Hogan hit a killer dropkick and went fot the cover, but Heather kicked out. Mr Elegance then started climbing the cage, causing a distraction that let Heather use her Sexy Cop nightstick on Allie.
M tagged in a dropkicked Allie, getting a quick two count. M suplexed her and then absolutely levelled her with a pump kick. M isolated Allie in the Elegance corner where she and M tagged in and out to work her over. Allie managed to get a hot tag to Hogan who dropkicked Heather and gave M a hip attack in the corner.
Hogan went off the ropes for a stomp/Leg drop combo but Heather broke up the count. M then planted Allie with a falcon arrow before colliding with Hogan. The Concierge grabbed the hand cuffs from the Sexy Cop outfits and the ref warned him to not put them in the cage.
Heather then used her tiny stature to squeeze through the cage and retrieve the cuffs. She quickly handcuffed Allie to the cage from the outside while M and Hogan traded shots in the ring. Heather then just stayed on the outside, watching with Mr Elegance. It backfired though as Hogan suplexed M and then hit her with a sweep slam to get the 1-2-3 and retain the titles for Allie and, uh, her, I guess?

After a brief shoutout and some words of encouragement for former knockout Rebel in her fight with ALS. The wrestling industry has rallied around Rebel and if you’d like to know more, you can check out this section of the AEW Together site that is raising funds and awareness.
Escape The Cage Match: Moose vs. Frankie Kazarian
In a very strange twist, given how long they’ve both been in TNA, Moose and Frankie Kazarian have never met in a one-on-one match. This feud got started over talk shows and will now determine who the #1 Cool Dad in TNA is when one of them manages to escape the cage. As a person roughly their age, my knees hurt just thinking about climbing out of a cage. Also, Moose was knocked unconcious backstage a couple weeks ago, but no one helped or has been talking about that since.
For some reason, Moose appeared on a throne and was played to the ring by a string quartet wearing what appeared to be a rejected Danhausen outfit. Kazarian came to the ring with his usual brand of Dad-rock and mockingly sat in the throne. I’ve never used the phrase “mockingly sat” before.
Kaz scrambled for the top of the cage right off the bell, but Moose caught him and brought him down to the mat. Kaz tried this a few more times, but Moose caught him every time and dragged him back. Mosse tossed Kaz against the steel and the official decided “I’ll just leave this door open for now.”
Moose beat up Kaz and could have gotten out through said door, but instead slammed it shut and told the ref to lock it.
Moose then punched Kaz exactly 10 times in the corner, but Kaz dodged the follow up charge. Moose quickly ran up the cage and launched himself, smashing into Kaz. off of that he hit a spear, but still refused to leave the cage before imposing some more hurt with another spear.
Moose went for the door, but Kaz flipped him off, so Moose went back in. Kaz backdropped him into the cage then hit a dropkick in the corner. Moose shoved him off and charged, but Kaz moved and sent him into the cage via momentum. Kaz whipped Moose into the corner and then suplexed him.
Kaz kept up the pressure, hitting an Angels Wings in the center of the ring. He then started yelling that it was his company, which started a hulk up in Moose who screamed “f*ck you!” and head butted him. He then hit a urinagi and a senton to flatten Kaz. Moose started climbing, but Kaz pulled him down with a backstabber and then a middle rope leg drop.
Kaz went for Fade To Black, but Moose countered it into a powerbomb, but Kaz countered that, so they settled for punching each other. Moose hit a pump kick, but Kaz cam back with a clothesline that Moose no-sold. Kaz hit a spinning neckbreaker, Moose got up and running-powerbombed him into the steel.
The two staretd climbing the cage, with Kaz raking Moose’s eyes as they hit the top. Moose palmed Kaz’ head like a basketball and then hit a picture perfect Spanish Fly off the side of the cage, planting Kaz right in the middle of the ring.
Moose crawled towards the cage door, but Kaz got his ankle and held him back. Kaz then poked Moose in the eye in the open doorway and then ran back for a slingshot cutter. Moose for some reason didn’t just step out of the ring when his eye got poked as he was literally in the open doorway.
Anyway, Kaz went for the door, but Moose pulled him back. Moose then ran back and speared Kaz, but the force of the impact sent him through the door and out to the floor, giving Kaz the win.
Match Result: Frankie Kazarian “defeated” Moose
TNA Knockouts Championship Match: Xia Brookside (c) vs Elayna Black
The rivalry between TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside and Elayna Black stared with Wendy Choo. Brookside attacked Choo and Black after their time-limit draw in the Knockouts TV Title Tournament. Choo moved on, but Black started calling Brookside on pretend FaceTime to tell her she sucks. Black also messed with Brookside’s makeup one week which deservedly led to this cage match.
Black is from Chicago, so that’s all anyone wanted to talk about (including Brookside) as the match began. Black took Brookside to the mat and they yelled at each other a bunch, before shoving led to punching. Black dropkicked Brookside and then threw elbows and knees at her.
Black hit a headscissor takedown and then a high knee. She went for a second and then a third, but Brookside saw it coming (because of the previous two) and dumped her over the ropes into the steel of the cage. She then dropkicked her repeatedly into the cage wall.
Indi Hartwell was shown watching the match backstage, but no TV was in the shot, so I assume she was looking through the curtain or somthing.
Brookside hit a pump kick, busting Black open. Brookside wrapped a belt that appeared in her hand around her fist and punched Black in the middle of the ring. She then drove the buckle into Black’s head, opening her up further. Brookside then tied the belt around the rope and Black’s neck, cinching it tight.
Brookside went for a cover, but Black wasn’t ready to give up yet. Brookside gripped her by the head, driving her fingernails into Black’s forehead. She then took the belt and tiedBlack to the cage. Brookside then punched and kicked her while blood gushed down Black’s face.
Black started swigning wildly and managed to fight Brookside off long enough to untie herself. Brookside grabbed her in an elbow lock though and twisted her arm. Black hit her with some elbows in the gut, but Brookside took them and stomped her down.
Brookside hit double knees in the corner and then went for a pin, but Black kicked out. Black started a comeback, hoisting Brookside up, but Brookside grabbed the cage and started to climb. Black grabbed her and hit a belly-to-back suplex off the top turnbuckle.
They started trading blows with Black getting the upper hand and stomping Brookside. She hit her with a gutwrench and went for the cover, but Brookside kicked out at two. Brookside then got her with a lungblower and dropped Black with a Darkside DDT. Somehow, Black kicked out, which no one has ever done.
Brookside smashed Black against the cage, but Black hit the Blackout and went for a cover. Brookside kicked out at two.
Brookside then came up with a handful of powder that she threw in Black’s eyes. Brookside made a quick cover and got the pin to retain the Knockouts Championship.
Match Result: Xia Brookside defeated Elayna Black
TNA International Championship Match: Jason Hotch (c) vs Mustafa Ali /w Order 4
Ali asked the locker room to vote to see who he should defend his TNA International Championship against and to everyone’s surprise, one of the Great Hands, Jason Hotch ended up winning the popular vote (No word on the Locker Room Electoral Vote). Anyway, After winning the vote, Hotch also won TNA International Championship. Then Ali got real weird about Hotch and his family (including potentially assuting his wife) and so now they are set to finish it once and for all. Or until the midterms.
Ali came to the ring in John Cena’s old Gangster entrance from that one Wrestlemania and Hotch brought his family to ringside proving that he’s never seen Beyond The Mat.
They started brawling before introductions and Ali ended up stuck in a “cage of woe” position for Hotch to kick a bunch. Ali fired back and Hotch suplexed him across the ring from the top turnbuckle. Hotch hit a discus lariat for a two count and then landed a Tornado DDT for another.
Ali snakeeyes’d Hotch on the turnbuckle and then set him up on the ringpost. He raked Hotch’s face but the Hotch countered and went for a piledriver off the top which caused a nasty fall for both. He then hit a sitout powerbomb, but could only get a two count. Ali came back with a cage-assisted DDT.
Special Agent 0 then grabed the key and opened the door for Ali. However, Tasha Steels closed it on him. Mila Moore distracted her and Hotch hit a kick in the ring that sent the door into Steels. Hotch left the ring to check on her and John Skylar took her to the back. Ali then dove through the ropes, out the door and right into Hotch.
They fought on the outside with Hotch coming out on top. He laid Ali over the announce table and started to climb up the cage, presumeably to dive onto him. Ali scrambled up to meet him, but Hotch sent him falling down to the floor. Hotch reached the top of the cage and then leapt onto Ali, driving him through a table from 14 feet up.
The title had to be won or lost in the ring apparently, so Hotch got to his feet. He immediately collapsed and started bleeding from the mouth. Secuity and Medics came down to ringside to tend to him. Ali got to his feet and started yelling at Hotch’s family, even going as far as to take the toy out of the hands of his daughter to taunt Hotch.
Ali got a lighter and said to Tomasso Ciampa, “hold my beer” and started to light the toy on fire. That brought Hotch back into the ring to take it back. Ali dropped him and pulled the belt off of Hotch’s trunks. He whipped Hotch with it as his crying wife and daughter looked on.
Ali set Hotch up on the ringpost and Hotch shoved him off. Hotch scrambled up the to the top of the cage and jumped down on Ali with a double stomp. He made the cover, but Ali wasn’t done yet.
Hotch picked up the stuffed toy, but Ali speared him while he was distracted. Ali went up top for a 450 and made the cover, but Hotch somehow kicked out. Ali tried to take the toy again, but Hotch wouldn’t let go. Ali hit a second 450 and made the cover to regain the International Title.
Match Result: Mustafa Ali defeated Jason Hotch
After the match, John Skylar screamed and yelled at Ali as he ran into the ring to check on Hotch. He helped Hotch from the ring and Hotch returned the toy to his daughter, giving her a thumbs up and mentally calculating all the therapy she’s going to need after seeing that.
-Next, Avery Styles came out to be interviewed in front of the crowd. Doing a pretty good impression of his father’s entrance, the Phenomenal Son said that he has an announcement: He has signed with TNA. That brought out Frankie Kazarian because we haven’t seen enough of him yet.
Kaz grabbed a mic and welcomed Avery to TNA and warned him that people are going to be gunning for him. But not sweet Uncle Kaz. He can always trust Uncle Kaz. Then he left and Avery posed some more at the top of the ramp.
Last Man Standing X-Division Championship Match: Cedric Alexander (c) vs Leon Slater
This honestly looks like it will be the match of the night. Alexander took the TNA X-Division Championship from Slater just one day before he was set to become the longest reigning X-Division Champion of all time. Since then, Alexander has done everything in his power to keep Leon Slater away from another TNA X-Division Championship shot. For this match, Alexander had one condition: if he loses, Slater’s TNA almost-record will be erased as if it never existed. I don’t know if Alexander has a Time Stone or what, but this is what they came up with:
If Cedric Alexander wins, Leon Slater’s reign will no longer be recognized by TNA Wrestling. The Title History would recognise the title moving from Moose to Alexander, with a period of inactivity in between. Amazing Red would once again be recognized as the younges X-Division Champion in history and Austin Aries would be the sole record holder for longest X-Division title reign.
Slater took control off the top and threw hands at Alexander exactly nine times before Alexander stood up to try and powerbomb him. Slater countered though and sent him to the mat. They brawled until Slater took Alexander down with a spinning heel kick. Slater climbed the cage and threw a back elbow and himself onto Alexander from about 2/3rds up.
They brawled around again until Alexander caught Slater and sent him face-first into the cage. Slater, busted open, staggered around the cage while Alexander threw chops and punches. He dropkicked Slater in the back of the head, but Slater got back to his feet. Alexander hit him with some high knees.
Slater dodged a kick and grabbed Alexander for a standing Blue Thunder Bomb. Slater went up top, but Alexander pushed him into the cage and climbed up with him. Alexander caught a kick and hit a Michinoku Driver off the top turnbuckle on Slater. The ref started to count and got to eight before Slater could get to his feet.
Slater then hit a Destroyer out of nowhere on Alexander and smashed his head into multiple sides of the cage. Slater started to power up and kicked Alexander’s head into the steel through the ropes, busting him open. Slater got Alexander on his shoulders and launched him with an airplane spin slam.
Slater went for a 450, but Alexander saw it coming and moved out of the way. They went up to the top rope and brawled until Slater hit a twisting superplex on Alexander, leaving both men lying in the middle of the ring. The ref started to count and made it nine before either man could get up.
They started trading open hand strikes and Slater landed a heel kick. Slater then hit a lumbar check on Alexander and then another and then another! Three Lumbar checks and then Slater hit the Swanton 450. The ref started counting as Alexander twitched in the ring. Alexander tried to get up and made it to 8 before collapsing and the ref finished the 10-count, giving Slater the win and the X-Division title.
Match Result: Leon Slater defeated Cedric Alexander
-Backstage, Daria Rae was seen talking to someone on the phone about how Indi Hartwell can’t talk to her like that. Suddenly a PA ran in and said that someone else has been attacked backstage. It was Elijah, being tended to by Director of Authority Santino Marella. Rae told Santino to handle it and stormed off.
Lethal Lockdown: The System (Eddie Edwards, Bear Bronson, Brian Myers & Alisha Edwards) vs. Ricky Sosa, K.C. Navarro, Jada Stone & Fabian Aichner
Hey, you know War Games? Well, Lethal Lockdown is like that, but instead of two rings there’s only one and girls can be on the team too. Oh, and weapons. Gotta have weps. The System will battle KC Navarro, Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, and Jada Stone inside the steel cage, with one member of each team starting off and another being added at 2 minute intervals. Brian Myers secured the advantage for The System on Impact, but the question I have is can Stone and Alisha only face each other like in other mixed tags? Or does Stone have to deal with Bronson? Oh what Lethal fun we shall have!
They are calling the System the “Gatekeepers” of TNA against the “Rising Stars” on the other team. Bear Bronson came down as the System representative to start the match as Fabian Aichner was revealed as the first from the opposing team. They immediately started throwing punches with Aichner hitting a Thez Press and throwing punches. They went back and forth with neither one getting the upper hand, but landing a lot of strikes.
Next, for the System, Bronson’s tag partner Bryan Myers came down and the beat up Aichner 2-on-1. They double suplexed him, trying to wear Aichner down so that the next person in would be on their own. The clock ticked and it was KC Navarro who ran down to help.
Navarro took out Myers with a headscissor and sent Bronson into the steel face first. He shook Aichner awake and then started throwing Myers and Bronson into the cage over and over. The next person to hit the ring was The System’s Eddie Edwards. Before he could get to the ring, Navarro dove through the door to knock him down.
Navarro raced back in to help Aichner, but they fell to the damn numbers game. Bronson was bleeding from the head as Myers threw Navarro into the cage. Eddie was also busted open after the dive from Navarro and Ricky Sosa arrived nest to even the numbers. He dropkicked Meyers and then punched out Bronson and Eddie. He hit a cutter on Meyers and then slammed Eddie, leaving five men lying in the ring.
Sosa focused on Eddie, punching him in the corner. He helped Navarro up and then went to work on Bronson. Alisha entered next and went straight for Sosa. She tried to slap him, but he caught her hand and Myers jumped him from behind. The System beat up Navarro, Sosa and Aichner as Jada Stone made her entrance as the final participant, officially starting the match.
Before she could get to the ring, Alisha closed the door. Stone ran right to the cage and climbed up to the top to hit a moonsault onto the field in the center of the ring! That officially started the match and the roof of the cage lowered down, weapons hanging from hit.
Bronson threw in a few more weapons as the cage roof descended and everyone stood ready. They faced off and started brawling. Navarro and Aichner went up for weapons first. Sosa and Stone followed. Navarro had a baseball bat wrapped with barbed wire, Aichner a chair, and Stone a kendo stick.
Edwards went up to try and get a STOP sign, but Navarro dove at him and broke the kendo stick over his back. Alisha hit a double low blow on Sosa and Navarro, then kicked Fabian right in his Aichners. Stone used a Kendo stick on anyone still standing before producing a bag full of tacks. She spread them around the ring and went to threw Alisha onto them.
Alisha countered and went up top. Stone followed and the fought on the ringpost. Stone then superplexed Alisha into the tacks, but took a good chunk of them in her own back in the process.
Aichner smacked Eddie with a trash can then put it on top of him and went coast to coast from the ringpost. Bronson grabbed the bat and hit Aichner in the gut with it. He picked up Navarro and hit a Bear Down on top of Aichner. He set up a piece of wood wrapped in barbed wire in the corner and went to throw Navarro into it, but Navarro got out and Sosa launched Bronson into his on barbed wire petard.
Meyers hit a roster cut on a steel chair on Navarro, but Sosa hit him with a Blue Thunder Bang into the tacks. Sosa pointed up to the top of the cage and started climbing. He grabbed a spool of barbed wire and wrapped it around his arm, cutting himself in the process. He then hit a barbed wire Headshot on Myers, but Alisha broke up the pin.
Eddie hit a Boston Knee party on Sosa from behind and he and Alisha set up three chairs in the middle of the ring. Eddie dragged Sosa on top of them and hit a package pile driver on Sosa. Eddie went for the cover and got the pin to win the match for The System.
Match Result: The System (Eddie Edwards, Bear Bronson, Brian Myers & Alisha Edwards) defeated Ricky Sosa, K.C. Navarro, Jada Stone & Fabian Aichner
And then, just like that, it was Main Event time!
TNA Tag Team Championship Match: Matt & Jeff Hardy vs Ryan & Nic Nemeth
Four men. Two sets of brothers. One steel cage. After Jeff failed to win the TNA World Championship from Nic, the Nemeths are riding high and looking to add tag belts to their gorgeously defined waists (at least one of them is. The Hardys will put their TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line to prove that they are the Goat(s) of Goats. The real question is how many Jeff Hardy personalities will we see in the match? Also, this will be contested under Tornado rules, which makes a lot of sense after how wierd it was in the Knockouts match earlier.
During the Hardy’s entrance, they immediately went under the ring and threw in a couple of tables. They got in and a brawl immediately started with the Hardys throwing the Nemeths against the cage walls repeatedly. Jeff went for the first cover on Ryan, but could only get a two count.
The Hardys ran through their greatest hits, throwing the Nemeths around the ring. Ryan and Nic tried to climb out of the cage, but Matt and Jeff caught up to them and all four fought on the top ropes. Nic threw Matt to the mat and hit a fame-ass-er fora. two count as Ryan hit a flatliner on Jeff.
Ryan stomped Jeff in the corner, while Nic tried to rake Matt’s eyes on the ropes. The Nemeths beat up the Hardys and posed. Nic set up a table in the corner and went to splash Jeff, but Jeff pulled Ryan in the way. Matt and Ryan then collided as Jeff hit a twist of fate on Nic. Nic came back with a superkick and then collapsed.
They started to brawl with the table still set up in the corner. The Hardys hit Poetry in Motion on Nic in the corner followed by a side effect, but Ryan broke up the pin. The Hardys laid him out with a Plot Twist, but Nic wasn’t going to let it end like that and stopped the pin.
The Hardy’s grabbed the table and set it up. Matt laid out Nic on the table and then went to grab Ryan who hit him with a low blow. Jeff avenged him by calling for a twistof fate, but Nic cut him off with a jumping DDT. Nemeth wend for a superkick on Matt, but he countered it into a Side Effect. Ryan broke up the pin but then got clobbered by Matt. Matt hit a Twist of Fate on Ryan and laid him out on the table.
Jeff shucked his shirt and went up top. He then decided that wasn’t high enough and climbed up to the top of the cage. Nic woke up and scrabled up there to drag him down to the top rope. The fought there until they both fell and crotched themselves on the rope.
Ryan tried to steal one with a rollup, so Matt gave him a twist of fate and put him back on the table. Matt climbed up the cage and dropped an elbow, driving Ryan through the table. Nic hit him with Danger Zone from behind though and managed to grab a pin to win the match and the TNA Tag Team Titles.
Match Result: Ryan & Nic Nemeth defeated Matt & Jeff Hardy
Replays showed that Jeff was caught in the cage and couldn’t break up the pin. Nic Nemeth becomes the first man since Kurt Angle 20 years ago to hold both the TNA World and Tag titles at the same time.
The Nemeths produced some bottles of champaign and celebrated until Leon Slater arrived. He had a mic and walked to the ring saying that the only way he can make more history is to win the TNA World title He said that his legacy in the X-Division is safe, so he is exercising “Option C” and trading in his title for a shot at the World Championship at Bound For Glory to become the youngest World Champion in TNA history.
Nic said “I dare you” and then as Slater was handing his X-Division Belt to Carlos Silva, tried to hit him from behind. Slater saw it coming though and ducked, nailing Nemeth with as superkick as the show came to an end.
