AEW and ROH President Tony Khan spoke with members of the media in attendance after the ROH Death Before Dishonor 2026 pay-per-view on Friday evening.
Featured below are some of the highlights:
Tony Khan spoke with the media following Friday night’s ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view, addressing Ring of Honor’s future, several members of the roster and more.
Throughout the scrum, Khan repeatedly hinted that additional media opportunities could be coming for ROH beyond the Honor Club paywall. While he stopped short of revealing any specific plans, Khan said he would like to get ROH television in front of more viewers and noted that the media landscape continues to evolve.
Khan also praised the quality of Ring of Honor’s pay-per-view events, including Friday night’s Death Before Dishonor show.
When asked about recently departed WWE star Ilja Dragunov, Khan said he was not sure of Dragunov’s current contractual status. He did, however, call Dragunov a “tremendous” wrestler.
Khan had similarly strong praise for Nick Wayne following his match against Bandido. He called Wayne a true prodigy and recalled that Darby Allin was the person who initially introduced him to the young AEW star. Khan believes Wayne continues to improve and called his performance against Bandido “absolutely tremendous.” He added that he would love to see the two have a rematch at some point.
The AEW and ROH President also spoke highly of Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena, calling the historic venue a great home for both AEW and Ring of Honor.
Khan pointed out another piece of ROH history coming out of Friday’s show, noting that Jay Lethal has now held every men’s championship in Ring of Honor following his latest title victory.
Asked whether any football players have approached him about making the transition into professional wrestling, Khan confirmed that some have expressed interest. He specifically mentioned meeting Mason Madden of MxM Collection during Madden’s time with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Khan was also asked how he manages the extensive travel that comes with balancing his responsibilities in professional wrestling and football. He acknowledged that the schedule sometimes means getting very little sleep, but said his passion for both sports makes it worthwhile.
Khan again suggested during the discussion that ROH could have more media opportunities in the future, although he did not provide specifics on what those opportunities might entail.
