Eddie Kingston has been pulled from Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision due to a medical issue.
Tony Khan announced the news Friday, revealing that Kingston has not been medically cleared to compete. Kingston had been scheduled to take part in the Continental Challenge Cup, but Khan did not provide specifics regarding the nature or severity of the issue. He did express hope that Kingston will be okay soon.
Kingston had also been pulled from a Canadian independent event scheduled for Friday. In his announcement, Khan indicated that Kingston had been expected to compete at Friday night’s ROH Death Before Dishonor event as well.
With Kingston unable to compete, Khan announced that Death Before Dishonor will now feature a Continental Challenge Cup play-in match between Daniel Garcia and Adam Priest. The winner will advance to face Claudio Castagnoli on Saturday’s Collision.
Khan also added three matches to the Zero Hour pre-show for Death Before Dishonor.
Hechicero & Brian Cage will team against Jordan Oliver & Alec Price, while AR Fox, Komander and Soleil will meet in a three-way match. Adam Brooks vs. El Phantasmo has also been added to the lineup.
