AEW women’s division star Britt Baker was reportedly banged up following last night’s episode of Dynamite. Baker competed in a tag bout against Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida while teaming with AEW women’s champion Nyla Rose. During the match Statlander and Shida slammed Rose onto Baker’s leg, a spot that saw Baker noticeably limping afterwards.
According to Wrestling Observer Live, the belief is that Baker may have torn her ACL on the spot, which would require her to take 6-9 months off to recover. AEW has yet to announce an official update, but the belief is that Baker’s singles-contest against Statlander at Saturday’s Double or Nothing pay per view will not be happening. She is scheduled for an MRI.
