Afa “The Wild Samoan” Anoa’i seems to be in bad health.
The uncle of WWE Superstar Roman Reigns and a former WWE Tag Team Champion as part of the legendary Wild Samoans tag-team during his active in-ring career has been the focus of a number of conflicting reports about his health.
Thursday evening, it was reported that the legendary Anoa’i family member had passed away at the age of 81. However it was later reported that he had not.
He has been in poor health for several years, and underwent multiple surgeries in recent months.
His oldest son, Samu Anoa’i, shared the following on his Facebook page:
“As we embark on your final journey home, we express our heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering love and guidance you have bestowed upon us throughout our lives. We find solace in knowing that you will soon be reunited with the Lord Jesus, your parents, siblings, and friends who have gone before us. We have no doubt that you will establish a Wild Samoan training center in the sky, bringing us all together once again. We believe in the power of your love and legacy, and we will continue to honor it in all that we do.
