Earlier today, ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced on Twitter that President Donald Trump would be holding a conference call today with the commissioners of the top sporting leagues across the U.S. including the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, UFC, and WWE.
Now Schefter is reporting that Trump has informed the commissioners that he “hopes” to have fans attending live events at arenas and stadiums by August or September, although it is unclear if medical experts have signed off on that timeline. He also states that the NFL season should start on time in September.
Donald Trump also told commissioners that he hopes to have fans back in stadiums and arenas by August and September, sources said, though it is currently unclear if medical experts find that to be a realistic timeline amid the current coronavirus pandemic. https://t.co/EFqDryGlTQ
