A WWE main roster veteran is dealing with a torn triceps injury.
Matt Cardona took to social media on Sunday to reveal that he suffered the injury during a match on Friday night.
The injury occurred while Cardona was facing Kit Wilson in a match taped for WWE Main Event ahead of SmackDown at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
Cardona shared a photo of his swollen arm while confirming the injury.
“I wish my arm was this jacked,” Cardona wrote. “Unfortunately, it’s just swollen because I tore my tricep in a match on Friday night.”
Despite the setback, Cardona made it clear that he has no plans to slow down during his recovery.
“I still went to the gym today and did legs,” he continued. “I’ll keep you updated. I’M NOT FINISHED.”
The injury comes shortly after Cardona competed on the August 14 edition of WWE SmackDown.
Cardona faced Gunther in an impromptu match that was set up following a segment involving Gunther, WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.
