Cody Rhodes ran into Jimmy Uso in the backstage area. Jimmy thanks Cody for having Jacob Fatu’s back last week. Jimmy is here to talk to Nick Aldis. Cody saw what happened on Raw this past Monday. Cody asks Jimmy if everything is good with him and his brother? Jimmy is pissed. Cody understands where Jimmy is coming from, he also has a brother in the business. Cody knows that Jey is always going to do what’s best for him, and Jimmy should do the same. Jimmy appreciates Cody’s words. Cody tells Jimmy that he’s heading to the arena to talk to the people.

Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre Segment

Cody Rhodes: So, Tempe, Arizona. What do you want to talk about? We can talk about my opponent at Saturday Night’s Main Event, “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre. I felt a little out of pocket last week, I did something that was uncharacteristic of me, I took this title, and I smacked it against the head of Drew McIntyre. I’m wondering, do I need to apologize for that?

Drew McIntyre: Stop. I don’t want your apologies. I don’t want any excuses, Cody. Really, Arizona, you’re going to cheer Cody and you’re going to boo me? With all the evidence you’ve seen, you’re going to cheer Cody Rhodes and you’re going to boo Drew McIntyre? At this point, you’re all complicit in his crimes. Actually, Cody, I don’t think it’s that. I think they’re brainwashed by Corporate Cody’s Propaganda. No matter what you do, they just keep on cheering. It’s amazing, Wrestlepalooza, you screw me with the referees. Last week, you smashed me in the face with the title, and they still cheer you. I’ve been screwed so many times, this has become about Drew McIntyre finishing the story, and I’m going to finish it next week at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room, who attacked Jacob Fatu? It’s always Drew, always the scapegoat. Cody, I hate that family, I hate them all, but I am innocent. I saw you talking to Jimmy, I saw you, do you think it was maybe him, the black sheep of the family? His brother Jey has another world title match, he doesn’t. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Maybe he took a page out of wife Naomi’s playbook?

Cody Rhodes: Enough! Enough! Let’s just start off right where we ended last week. You’re clearly looking for a fight, I’ll fight you right here, I’ll fight you right now, let’s just do this, here and now.

Jimmy Uso attacks Drew McIntyre from behind. Jimmy launches McIntyre over the announce table. Jimmy is being restrained by security guards. Jimmy lands The Suicide Dive. Jimmy tees off on McIntyre. Cody is trying to calm down Jimmy at McIntyre leaves the ringside area. Solo Sikoa and The MFT’s make their way down to the ring.

– Coming out of the commercial break, Drew McIntyre is arguing with Nick Aldis in the backstage area. Dragunov has so much respect for Sami as a fighter and bringing back the US Open Challenge. But one thing that y’all know about me, and I know about myself is, that one thing that’s in my genetics, and that is giving up. Because of the obsession I carry in my heart, I stand today in front of you as your new United States Champion. And where I come from, we would like to say, how you do one thing, you do all things. So, I will defend this belt with all my obsession. I won this belt from a great man, Sami Zayn. So, it is my duty to continue the legacy of the open challenge. – Cathy Kelley had a backstage interview with Carmelo Hayes. Melo knows that everybody is waiting for him to verbally eviscerate The Miz, but he’s not going to do that. The Miz is a future Hall Of Famer, he taught him so much in and out of the ring, and for that he’s forever grateful. However, Miz crossed the line when he put his hands on Melo. Last week, Melo did what he had to do, and he had to get even. The old Melo wouldn’t let that go, but at the end of the day, he’s going to let it slide, because revenge is a double edge sword. As far Melo is concerned, they’re even, and he go back to fulfilling his destiny. Melo hears, sees, and feels the support, so he owes it to the WWE Universe, and himself to get back on track of being HIM. Kit Wilson interrupts the conversation. Kit tells Melo to wake up. This Monday on Raw, Charlotte & Alexa will put their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the line against Bayley & Lyra Valkyria. Alexa says that they need to show them what a real tag team looks like. Charlotte wonders if they’re really friends. Nia Jax interrupts the interview. Jax is just waiting for the moment where either Charlotte and Alexa stab the other in the back. Charlotte calls that projection. Charlotte used to have the same attitude as Jax, but she grew and learn how to develop healthy relationships, rooted in trust. Maybe Nia should try to develop some healthy relationship. If Charlotte wants to call Nia a bully, well, it’s because she learned from the best (Alexa Bliss). Charlotte should watch out, because Alexa will hug with her with one arm, and stab her in the back with the other. Alexa says that people do change. However, if Nia wants to find the old Alexa, she’s not hard to find. Nia challenges Alexa to a match. Alexa accepts. Nia tells Alexa that she’ll see her next week.
