Pro-wrestling may not be coming to the state of Illinois for a while.
Governor J.B. Pritzker recently announced that until there is a vaccine or “highly effective” treatment to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, large gatherings and conventions will be banned from the state. This would include AEW’s annual labor day weekend event, ALL OUT.
Prior to the formation of AEW members of The Elite produced the ALL IN event from the Sears Centre in Illinois, a show that featured a mix of ROH, IMPACT, and NJPW superstars. Once AEW became official they returned to the Sears Centre for last August’s ALL OUT pay per view, which saw Chris Jericho become the first ever AEW world champion. Company president Tony Khan and Executive VPs like Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks have stated on numerous occasions that they wanted to make ALL OUT an Illinois tradiion, but the viral outbreak has seemingly made that impossible.
AEW has yet to announce any details regarding ALL OUT. They are currently building towards their May 23rd Double or Nothing pay per view, a show that was also forced to relocate due to COVID-19 from its original venue in Las Vegas.
