Winner and STILL AEW “Real World Champion”: CM Punk

Rating: ****. Excellent wrestling match here in the main event that benefitted from a raucous crowd. Both guys got a chance to look good and you know Steamboat was going to get involved somehow, but it wasn’t over the top. Sometimes simple works, and that was the case here.

After the match, Punk and Steamboat embrace as Starks attacks Steamboat! Starks takes Steamboat’s belt off and starts whipping him! Starks lays into Steamboat before Punk makes the save with a chair.

Final Thoughts: Collision continues to be the wrestling show and it’s awesome. The separate rosters are working perfectly for AEW and this show was a heck of a lot of fun, top to bottom. We know what we’re getting now week over week, and it’s a healthy does of Bullet Club Gold, FTR, House of Black, and CM Punk. The good thing about that is, knowing suck, long term, meaningful stories are built around these guys. Excellent tag match with FTR this week, helping Bill and Brian Cage, same goes for the main event, elevating Ricky Starks. 8.5/10.
