AEW Dynamite Viewership and Key Demo Rating for the Winter Is Coming 2022 Episode

Wednesday’s live Winter Is Coming edition of AEW Dynamite drew 950,000 viewers on TBS, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily.

This is up 13.1% from the last week’s episode, which drew 840,000 viewers for the Winter Is Coming go-home show.

This week’s Dynamite drew a 0.33 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This is up 13.79% from last week’s 0.29 rating. This week’s 0.33 key demographic rating represents 428,000 viewers who watched the show from that 18-49 demo. This is up 12.63% from last week’s 380,000 18-49 viewers that the 0.29 key demo rating represented, according to Wrestlenomics.

Dynamite ranked #3 on the Cable Top 150 this week with the 0.33 rating in the 18-49 key demographic. This is even with last week’s #3 ranking.

Dynamite ranked #28 in viewership for the night on cable this week. This is up from last week’s #41 ranking.

Dynamite drew the highest total audience since October 26, and the highest key demo rating since October 5. This was the twenty-first-lowest total audience of the year so far for a standard airing, and the seventh-lowest key demo rating of the year so far, tied with six other episodes. Sports competition last night included two NBA games on ESPN, two NHL games on TNT, and two College Basketball games on ESPN2. Wednesday’s Dynamite viewership was up 13.1% from last week, while the 18-49 key demo rating was up 13.79% from last week.

This week’s Dynamite viewership was up 0.21% from the same week in 2021. The key demo rating was up 6.45% from the previous year. The 2021 episode was also the Winter Is Coming show.

The NBA game between the Knicks and the Bulls on ESPN at 7:45pm topped the night in the 18-49 demographic on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.45 rating, also drawing 1.241 million viewers. The Five on FOX News topped the night on cable in viewership with 3.048 million viewers, also drawing a 0.21 key demo rating for the #9 spot on the Cable Top 150.

Survivor on CBS topped the night on broadcast TV in viewership with an average of 4.975 million viewers. Survivor on CBS also topped the night on broadcast TV in the 18-49 key demo with a 0.75 rating.

Wednesday’s live Winter Is Coming edition of AEW Dynamite aired from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas, and featured several happenings advertised ahead of time – Chris Jericho in action, Ruby Soho vs. Tay Melo in a Grudge Match, AEW World Trios Champions Death Triangle vs. The Elite in Match #4 of their Best Of 7 Series, The House of Black in action, plus AEW World Champion MJF defending the title and the Dynamite Diamond Ring vs. Ricky Starks in a Winner Takes All main event.
