WWE superstar AJ Styles recently spoke to the Times Of India to hype his Intercontinental title matchup against Daniel Bryan on this week’s SmackDown. During the interview Styles would be asked about the comments CM Punk made about Styles disregarding the ongoing protests happening around the world in the name of George Floyd. The Phenomenal One responded by saying he has no respect for Punk, and that his job is to entertain.
I will not react at all coming from a guy that I don’t [have] any respect [for] anyway. It doesn’t really matter. Look, my job as a performer is to perform and get the mind off all the things that have happened throughout the world. I am not going to react to people saying ridiculous and stupid things.
Styles then focuses on Bryan, calling him one of the best in the world.
There are a lot of great performers but there is something about Bryan which you enjoy. I would place [him] in the list of the greatest of all time because he is that good.
