WWE superstar AJ Styles took to Twitter earlier today to comment on becoming the new Intercontinental champion on last night’s episode of SmackDown, when he defeated Daniel Bryan in the tournament finals. Styles says he understands the importance of the belt’s legacy, and plans on making this run phenomenal.
I know what this title means. I know what I have to do. What a match with @WWEDanielBryan, now it’s about making this title #phenomenal. I’m watching…and waiting.
Styles I.C. title win joins his previous runs with the United States championship and the WWE championship. He has still yet to capture tag team gold, or the Universal championship.
