Backstage Details On WWE Money In The Bank, Where Did Rey Mysterio and Aleister Black Land, AJ Styles Always Slotted For Match and more

Last night WWE held their annual Money In The Bank pay per view from an empty Performance Center, with the marquee ladder matches taking place from Titan Tower in Connecticut. Below are backstage notes from the event.

-The actual ladder match was filmed on Wednesday April 15th over one long day. The camera crews shot the bout very similar to a television show, with multiple camera angles shot one after the other. Sequences were also filmed out of order.

-AJ Styles was reportedly always scheduled for the matchup, confirming that him replacing Apollo Crews was storyline related.

-One big spot that occurred in the climax of the match was Baron Corbin tossing Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio off the edge of the building. The report claims that Black and Mysterio were tossed into an area that wasn’t lit and contained crash pads.

-Styles and Bryan fixing the chairs in Vince McMahon’s office is apparently an inside joke, as it is well-known throughout the company that when finishing a meeting with Vince your chairs should be returned to their proper place.

-Triple H gifted Vince McMahon the giant T-Rex Skull that was on display in his office.

-The janitor that was approached by eventual women’s winner Asuka was played by Kane Prichard, son of Bruce Prichard, who also appeared as his Brother Love character.
