Chris Hemsworth Talks Upcoming Hulk Hogan Biopic: “I’m Just Fascinated By That World”

Hollywood sensation Chris Hemsworth, best known for his role as The Mighty Thor in the MCU franchise, recently spoke with Screen Rant about the upcoming Hulk Hogan biopic where Hemsworth has been cast as The Immortal One. The 35-year old Australian superstar reveals that the film is still in pre-production, but does admit that he is fascinated by the world of pro-wrestling.

Look, I haven’t read a script yet. I know it’s being written now and worked on. I know very little about that. It’s sort of in the process now. I’m just fascinated by that world, and I think they’re pretty keen to show a side of the world that people haven’t seen before. I’m as intrigued as you are.

While a releases date for the movie has yet to be determined, former SmackDown Executive Director Eric Bischoff is reportedly set to help produce, with Scott Silver, John Pollono, and Academy Award nominee Todd Phillips (Joker, Hangover Trilogy) attached to the script. The story will supposedly omit Hogan’s racist comments back in 2015 and focus more on the Hulkamania era of the 1980s. Netflix is expected to confirm their deal for the Hogan picture any day.
