Former WWE world champion Christian was a recent guest on Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast to discuss potentially returning to the ring following the immaculate recovery of his long-time friend and tag partner, Edge. Christian begins by stating that he’s pretty content with everything he accomplished in WWE, but admits that main eventing WrestleMania was one goal he fell short of.
It’s one of those things, right? It’s a completely different injury. I’m pretty content with all that I’ve accomplished in WWE. I pretty much accomplished everything I ever wanted to do except main event WrestleMania, and let’s be honest, how many people actually get a chance to do that?
He later claims that no doctor would medically clear him to return because of his history with concussions, the very reason he was forced to retire in 2014.
I’m forty-six years old, I had some concussion issues. It’s just a matter of, I don’t see it happening. I’m medically disqualified. Not sure how I would ever get cleared.
