AEW star Dax Harwood of the tag duo FTR (fka Revival in WWE) responded to a fan on Twitter who criticized him for removing Rey Fenix’s mask during their match on last Wednesday’s Fight for the Fallen TNT special. Harwood explains that although a heelish tactic, he knew the spot would have people talking, which is the nature of the business.
Harwood writes, “Ryan, IDGAF about you, heat, “go-away heat”, face, heel, or any other pro rasslin phrases you read from dipshit Dave Meltzer. I do what’s best for the #FTR brand. I took his mask off b/c I knew people would talk. All these tag teams follow our lead b/c they want to MAKE MONEY!”
Harwood’s mask pull led to FTR scoring the victory over the Lucha Bros. Since their arrival in AEW they have been teasing a huge clash with company EVPs, The Young Bucks.
