WWE champion Drew McIntyre released a short statement and video on his Twitter earlier today where the Scottish Psychopath comments on being in the running for BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year award. McIntyre writes, “It’s been just under a week since I became WWE Champion and the reaction has been amazing. Thank you all. But to see my name in the same bracket for BBC SPOTY is mental. To be in the same sentence as @Tyson_Fury, @JHenderson and @thebodycoach is humbling. I won’t let you down.”
The champ also dawns a “Catfather” t-shirt (play on the Godfather) and plays with his feline friend in the video, which you can watch below.
