Former WWE Champion Arrested For Sexual Assault

FOX San Antonio is reporting that Jose A. Rodriguez Chucuan, better known in the pro-wrestling circuit as Alberto El Patron (Del Rio in WWE), was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman and injuring her badly in the process. The incident took place on May 3rd, with the victim contacting police the next day. Chucan was taken into custody yesterday at 11am, and has a $5,000 bond set for bail.

The former WWE champion recently competed against MMA superstar Tito Ortiz for the fight promotion Combate Americas, and continued to work for his lucha-libre promotion Nacion in Mexico. No word yet from Chucuan’s representatives at this time.

On May 4, the victim reported to police that at 10:00 p.m. on May 3, Jose A. Rodriguez Chucuan had become angry with a woman and assaulted her causing multiple injuries to her body.

When reporting the crime to police, the victim also said Chucuan slapped her across the head. When she asked him what he was doing, he allegedly slapped her over the head again.

The victim told police they walked downstairs and he forced her to wear a dress and dance for him. She told him she didn’t want to and he said not to cry because if she did, he would take her son and drop him in the middle of the road somewhere.

According to an arrest affidavit, the woman told police Chucuan allegedly sexually assaulted her and had her injuries photographed.
