Jim Ross Sends Text Message to Vince McMahon Over WrestleMania 36

AEW announcer Jim Ross recently appeared on the 411 Interviews Podcast and discussed his relationship with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, among other topics. The WWE Hall of Famer said he and the WWE CEO are still on friendly terms, and that he has “great respect” for McMahon.

“We don’t communicate regularly, [and] when we do it’s normally by text, but I have great respect for Vince McMahon,” JR said (H/T to AIPT Comics). “For 25 years, he gave me a lot of money to do my job, and some days are better than others, I’ll just say that. But all it was was a microcosm of life: some days are simply better than others.”

Good ‘Ol JR also revealed that he sent a text message to Vince after WrestleMania 36, congratulating him on pulling the show off despite challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.

“I texted [Vince] my congratulations on the success of WrestleMania, because I thought it was by and large an artistic miracle that they were able to do what they did in the environment that they were operating in,” Ross said.
