Yesterday former WWE champion Jinder Mahal announced on Instagram that he will be out of action once again following a second successful knee surgery.
According to WrestleTalk, The Modern Day Maharaja was set to challenge the current WWE champion Drew McIntyre at some point down the line. Reports are that the feud may have just been transitional, but coincides with the rumors that Mahal was to receive a big push since his return in April. Mahal had previously been out of action since June of last year due to a surgery on his other knee. There is no word on how long he’s expected to be shelved.
Meanwhile McIntyre is set to defend the title against Bobby Lashley at the June 14th Backlash pay per view.
