MMA and pro-wrestling star Josh Barnett issued a short statement on his Twitter last night commenting on the recent cuts made by WWE in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Barnett names Rusev and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle by name, stating that he knows a place where they can “truly show what they’re made of” before asking if they’re interested.
So I see that a bunch of wrestlers were released form the WWE.Hmm…Rusev? Kurt Angle I’ve a place for you to truly show what you’re made of. Let me know if you’re interested.
Barnett is most likely referring to his annual Bloodsport events that run in conjunction with Game Changer Wrestling (GCW). The 3rd edition of Bloodsport was supposed to run WrestleMania 36 weekend and feature Barnett headlining the event against AEW world champion Jon Moxley. Check out his tweet below.
