WWE superstar Kevin Owens was a recent guest on the AJ Awesome Show to discuss all things pro-wrestling. During the interview the former Universal Champion was asked about his favorite moment in his WWE career thus far, and Owens named his debut for the yellow-and-black brand against CJ Parker (Juice Robinson) at the top of the list.
It’s between my first NXT match against CJ Parker [Juice Robinson] and winning the Universal Championship. I think the NXT match might be a little bit more special because it was my first match in WWE, it was against a really good friend and it was such a special moment that I’ll always remember. To actually get to be in WWE. Even though I signed my contract and was in the Performance Center for a few months, having that first match was really something.
The bout took place at NXT Takeover Revolution in 2014. Owens would win the match in convincing fashion, then go on to attack new NXT champion Sami Zayn in the evening’s headliner. Check out the full interview below. (H/T and transcribed by Fightful
