WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently spoke to CBR where the Olympic Hero revealed that WWE offered him a position as manager for NXT superstar, Matt Riddle. Angle states that he turned the job down due to bad timing, but predicts that the former NXT tag champion will be a big star on the main roster.
His whole bro gimmick thing works really well. And he’s going to do extremely well. WWE has offered me a job to manage him. Unfortunately, I turned it down due to a few different reasons, but I would have loved to manage him. It just wasn’t the right time.
Angle was the special guest referee in Riddle’s cage fight against Timothy Thatcher on last week’s NXT on USA, a bout that Thatcher ended up winning. Riddle is expected to appear on Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
