Kurt Angle Says There Was More Creative Control During Ruthless Aggression Era, Who He Likes In NXT, His Favorite Championship Design and more

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently held a Q&A on his Facebook page to talk all things pro-wrestling. Highlights are below.

Talks famous promo from the Invasion storyline:

It was all improv. Vince led the way and Austin followed. Steve is a rare breed, he was kick-ass and funny at the same time. Great times… not to mention all of the HOFers in that promo. It was awesome!

The feeling backstage during the Ruthless Aggression Era:

It was fun. We had a little more creative control over our own characters and the wrestling just kept getting better. It might have been the best era in wrestling. Maybe.

Advice on cutting a good promo:

It takes time and effort to perfect promos. You have to show emotion and connect with the fans. Even at my age, I’m still learning. Connect with the fans in a positive or negative way and you’re good to go.

His favorite championship title design:

I liked the Undisputed Championship the most.

Who he sees as a top guy in NXT:

It’s hard to say. I always liked Velveteen Dream. But…there are so many great talents in NXT right now.
