KUSHIDA is back in NJPW as he made his return at today’s New Japan Road event where he confronted IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori.
Ishimori had just successfully defended his title against Hiromu Takahashi in the main event. KUSHIDA said he had signed with NJPW and that he would spend the rest of his career here.
KUSHIDA is a former six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and two-time Best of the Super Juniors winner. In 2019, he left NJPW for WWE, but left the promotion this past April when his contract ended.
