MCW Pro Wrestling Postpones Events Until September Due To COVID-19 Crisis

MCW Pro Wrestling Owners Dan McDevitt and Dennis Wipprecht issued the following press release on Facebook announcing that all MCW events are postponed until May due to the ongoing COVID-19 Crisis. Details are below.

In light of ongoing developments related to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic MCW Pro Wrestling is announcing today that additional decisions made as it pertains to future MCW Pro Wrestling Events:

Last week federal guidelines were announced to reopen the Country. Additionally the following day Governor Hogan discussed those plans as they relate to the state of Maryland. Governor Hogan stated that we were still increasing in cases and nowhere near being closed to enter phase one of reopening the state.

-Saturday May 2, 20202 Future of Honor Event has been cancelled. If you purchased tickets online at Mission tix they will be issuing refunds.
-Hollywood, MD Event Scheduled for Friday May 29th is going to be postponed Until Friday September 25, 2020
-Originally when this began we announced the next event at the MCW Arena would be held Saturday May 30th. That event will not be happening, the next MCW event at the MCW Arena will be held on Saturday September 26th and that event will be “Shamrock Cup 20”

These decisions did not come easy but we have to be realistic. Events with any significant number of people are not even in the first two phases of the government’s plans. Our hope is that this is enough of a break to allow things to settle down. The healthy and safety of our audience, staff, wrestlers and crew is our highest priority.
