Mick Foley is a big fan of Sami Zayn and hopes that WWE treats him correctly going into the Elimination Chamber.
The storyline between Zayn and The Bloodline has been one of WWE’s most well-received angles in years. On the latest edition of Foley is pod the hardcore legend spoke about the angle and was adamant about the booking being correct for Zayn, as he fears that if it’s not, the WWE Universe will take it out on Cody Rhodes. On whether Sami Zayn will receive one of the biggest ovations ever at Elimination Chamber:
I would think so, man. This is where the storytelling — the storytelling has been so strong. WWE has to be really careful in how they treat what they have in Sami Zayn. So if it’s a one-off, I think fans will be upset and subconsciously take that out on Cody.
Says it’s very important for WWE to treat Zayn correctly in this storyline:
So I think it’s really important that Sami be treated reverently by the people in charge. Because, you know, we call him ‘The gift that keeps on giving.’ We want him to just keep on giving. You don’t want this title shot to be the peak of his storyline and then soon forgotten.
