Mickie James Gives Her Thoughts On Howard Finkel, How She’s Been Dealing With COVID-19 Quarantine

WWE star Mickie James was a recent guest on Sunday Night’s Main Event to give her thoughts on the passing of legendary ring announcer, Howard Finkel. James recalls memories of The Fink always being so kind and so genuine before reminding fans of his monumental impact on the business.

A very sad day in wrestling. I always remember Howard from when we would come back from the tours and he was always there. It would be three or four o’clock in the morning with all of our stuff. “Welcome back team. Welcome back guys and gals.” A big smile on his face. Howard was just the best. He’s truly going to be missed. Obviously the impact that he made on the industry itself is monumental. However, I think that he was just a genuine man and was so sweet and that he just touched everyone that he came in contact with. We’re all gonna miss him.

The former women’s champion would later be asked about her isolation from the COVID-19 outbreak. James reveals that she’s returned home to Virginia and has been spending lots of quality time with family, including her son.

I’m back in Virginia because of my family friends. I feel like it’s a better network up here. We have our gym setup in the basement and Donovan has been loving it because we’re both home everyday. It’s actually been a little bit of a reset button. Just keep going and try to still keep thinking about what you can do to be productive so your whole day is not worrying about this virus.
