It’s now official that the NWA World Tag Team Titles will be on the line at the upcoming NWA 74th Anniversary pay-per-view.
The NWA has announced that La Rebelión’s Bestia 666 and Mecha Wolf 450 will challenge The Commonwealth Connection’s Harry Smith and Doug Williams in an attempt to regain the titles they held for almost 300 days. The match will air during Night 1 of the big two-night event.
It will be interesting to see if the losing team will be added to the Battle Royal to crown the new NWA United States Tag Team Champions on Night 2. There is currently one open spot left for the 10-team Battle Royal. The current Battle Royal line-up features Hawx Aerie, Team Ambition, The Fixers, The NOW, The III Begotten, Gold Rushhh, Ruff ‘n’ Ready, The Country Gentlemen, and The Miserably Faithful.
In more news for NWA 74, there are currently 9 confirmed spots for the Burke Invitational Gauntlet Match to be held on Night 1. The match currently features Samantha Starr, Natalia Markova, KiLynn King, Angelina Love, Jennacide, Tootie Lynn, Max The Impaler, Missa Kate, and Madi Wrenkowski. There’s no word yet on who the final spot will go to. The Burke Invitational Gauntlet winner will go on to Night 2 to challenge for the NWA World Women’s Title, against #1 contender Taya Valkyrie or the current champion Kamille.
The NWA 74th Anniversary pay-per-view will air live on Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28 from Chase’s Khorassan Ballroom in St. Louis, Missouri. The event will air live on pay-per-view and FITE TV, with the Pre-show airing for free on YouTube. Below is the updated card:
