We reported over the weekend that long-time WWWF/WWF referee John Lotz, who officiated the famous Hulk Hogan versus Iron Sheik matchup at Madison Square Garden to kickstart the Hulkamania era, had passed away at 86 years old.
According to PW Insider, Lotz’s daughter Elizabeth took to social media to reveal that her father passed away due to complications from the ongoing COVID-19 virus.
