AEW’s first wave of action figures made by Jazwares and Wicked Cool are scheduled to hit stores this month. In a new interview with Adventures In Collecting, Jeremy Padawer, who is a partner of Jazwares, revealed that a second wave of figures will be released soon, with updated tones to make the collectible value that much higher.
I think the skin tones are good, they’re going to be better. We’ll launch and then there will be a better variant. We’re definitely going to do a variant run of series one; lighter skin tones to start, darker and more rich skin tones towards the end of the run. I don’t know which one is going to be more rare yet.
Padawer also says that fans can expect a new wave of toys every two months, maybe even sooner.
We’re going to be delivering a new wave approximately every two months, maybe even faster than that. We’re launching it at Wal-Mart and Ringside [Collectables] and I think it will very quickly extend beyond those retail outlets. At that time, you’ll see more development because when you have more retailers, you have to get exclusivity and opportunity for everyone to shine. The first season of the launch if about making sure we get it right and then we extend.
