Pro Wrestling Returning to Nevada During the COVID-19 Pandemic?

We could see pro wrestling return to the state of Nevada soon.

The Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) issued a ruling today that will allow combat sports events to proceed in the state during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Promoters must follow COVID-19 protocols for events held without the presence of a live audience.

The commission also gave permission to UFC for two upcoming MMA events, and permission to Top Rank for two upcoming boxing events. Fans will now be allowed at these events. The UFC events will be held at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas on May 30 and June 6. The boxing events will be held on June 9 and June 11 at the MGM Grand.

It will be interesting to see if this NAC ruling paves the way for pro wrestling to return to The Silver State. WWE often runs in Las Vegas and last Saturday’s AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view was originally scheduled for Vegas, as was this week’s Dynamite episode.

Stay tuned for more.
