Matt Richards, who was the announcer and creative team member for PROGRESS, announced via Twitter that he’s done with the company.
Richards has spent the past couple days commenting on and retweeting his support of all the women who are speaking out against sexual and physical abuse on Twitter. Richards made a statement of his own earlier saying, “Over the last few days I’ve discovered that people who I previously regarded as friends have committed inexcusable & appalling acts. I wholeheartedly support those who have spoken out. My feelings can’t possibly compare to the impact this will have had on those affected.”
Amid all this, Richards has made the decision to step down as announcer and creative team member for PROGRESS immediately. He states that he’s fallen out of love for the wrestling business as his primary reason for the decision.
