ROH Free Enterprise Results From Baltimore, MD 02/09/20

-The show opens with Marty Scurll behind a desk, and he welcomes us to Free Enterprise. We see a promo for the PPV with the Villain Enterprises music playing.

-Commentators today are Caprice Coleman and Ian Riccaboni. They run down the card for us tonight.

Match: Mark Haskins vs. Alex Shelley

Mark Haskins is out first. Alex Shelley is out next to a decent pop. Code of honor is adhered to. We see a lot of chain wrestling with neither men really getting the upperhand. Shelley catches a kick from Haskins and boops him on the nose, which the fans love.

Haskins is able to get the upperhand in the chain wrestling and takes Shelley down. The fans applaud. They battle to the apron. Haskins kicks him off the apron, then delivers another kick from the apron to Shelley’s face. Haskins nails a suicide dive. Fans are getting behind Haskins. He fakes a suicide dive, which Shelley tries to dodge, then hits a real one.

Back in the ring, Haskins locks in an armbar. Shelley is able to escape. Shelley asks Haskins to bring it. Haskins kicks him in the chest. Shelley is getting fired up. Haskins goes for another, but Shelley catches it. Shelley with a forearm, then an elbow, but they both clothesline each other to end the sequence.

Shelley and Haskins take turns hitting offensive moves, until Haskins is able to lock in the Sharpshooter out of nowhere. Alex Shelley taps.

Winner: Mark Haskins

-We get a rundown on the next match, which is tag team action.

Match: Vincent and Bateman (with Chuckles the Clown and Von Starr) vs. Dalton Castle and Joe Hendry

Vincent his stable, now being called Righteous, is out first. Dalton Castle makes his entrance with “Boys,” who once again are played by new men. Castle says that he’s not a disco ball, he’s a secret weapon. Joe Hendry is out next. Both babyfaces get a decent pop, but the fans are still not getting into Hendry’s dance.

Hendry and Castle attempt the code of honor. Castle tells them they’d be lucky to shake their hands. The heels reject the offer. Hendry and Castle do shake hands though.

Starting off is Vincent and Castle. Vincent walks to his corner and tags in Bateman. We get chain wrestling, but Castle gets the upperhand and pushes Bateman to their corner. Castle tags in Hendry. Hendry keeps Bateman grounded. They both get to their feet. Hendry tries to get his “I believe in Joe Hendry” catchphrase over, but its not clicking.

Hendry nails Bateman with a big knee. Tag to Castle. They hit a double team. Castle easily keeps control of Bateman until Vince distracts him with Matt Taven’s crutches. Castle tags in Hendry. Hendry clotheslines Bateman to the floor. Vincent distracts Hendry and Castle, and Bateman takes them out from behind.

Bateman forearms Hendry and tags in Vincent. Righteous are able to use their numbers to their advantage to keep Hendry down. Vincent locks in a chokehold that takes Hendry down for a while. Hendry does eventually get fired up and turns the chokehold into a suplex. Hendry makes the desperate tag to Castle.

Castle is fired up and takes down both members of Righteous with forearms and clotheslines. Castle catches Vincent in mid-arm and turns it into a German Suplex. Bateman climbs the turnbuckle, but Castle casually kicks him off. Castle gets hyped up and goes for a clothesline off the apron, but Vincent cuts him off and clotheslines him instead.

Vincent is tagged in. Hendry is tagged in. Hendry catches both Vincent and Bateman. Fallaway slam to both men. Hendry is fired up and the fans are behind him. Chuckles distracts Castle. Castle chases him on the floor. Vincent takes advantage with the Acid Drop bulldog out of nowhere and scores the pin.

Winners: Righteous

-After the match, Righteous corner Castle and Hendry in the corner. They roll out of the ring and live to fight another day. Righteous celebrate in the ring with their fingers snapping.

-We see a promo for the Australian superstar Slex which leads into his entrance.

Match: Slex vs. Flip Gordon

Flip gets a chant during his entrance. Fans aren’t sure how to react to Slex yet. Flip Gordon does offer his hand, and Slex accepts. Code of Honor adhered to. The referee tells him to take his sunglasses off. Fans are chanting for Slex to keep them on. He takes them off and fans boo.

They trade blows. Slex does manage to level Flip, but Flip instantly does a kip-up to his feet. They spend the next sequence going for moves and missing. Fans applaud. Slex is able to get the upperhand. Fans are chanting for Flip once again.

Slex reverses an Irish Whip into a backbreaker. Flip rolls out of the ring. Slex hits a suicide dive. He suplexes Flip onto the apron from the floor. Slex is able to keep Flip down in the ring. He gets Flip up for a stalling suplex and holds it for 20 seconds. He goes for a pin, but only gets a 2.

Slex applies a headlock. Flip is able to escape and nails a superkick. They attack each other, both men scream in stereo, then clothesline each other to the mat. Referee begins his count.

Flip manages to hit a twisting Falcon Arrow into a pin. It’s a close 2 count but Slex kicks out. Flip goes off the middle ropes but Slex pushes him down in the middle of the ring. Slex nails an intense Clothesline from Hell that sends Flip rolling. Slex goes for a pin, but its only a 2.

Slex gets him up into a Fireman’s Carry position, spins, and nails a Blue Thunder bomb. He goes for the pin, but somehow Flip manages to kick out just before three. Slex yells for Flip to get to his feet. Slex approaches him, but Flip was playing possum and rolls him up. Slex kicks out. Slex rolls out of the ring. flip hits a massive moonsault from the turnbuckle outside the ring. Flip tosses Slex back in the ring and his able to hit his middle rope spear.

Flip hits the Flip-5 followed by the Curbstomp for the win.

Winner: Flip Gordon

-After the match, Flip shakes Slex’s hand. Slex holds up Flip’s hand in victory.

SOS surrounds Slex on the outside of the ring. While he’s distracted, Shane Taylor enters the ring and hits the Welcome to the Land piledriver. Taylor takes the microphone. Shane Taylor announces that he has signed with ROH once again.

Match: Alex Zayne vs Andrew Everett

Code of Honor is adhered to.

We see some acrobatic moves that were always countered. Both men remained on their feet. They both take turns controlling the match. They keep a cocky smirk on their face each time. Everett hits a cross body off the turnbuckle to the outside of the ring, then tosses Zayn back in. While Everett is distracted by a fan, Zayne flies over the top rope with a corkscrew and takes him out.

Everett and Zayne tried offensive on the inside with neither men being able to keep the other down for a 2 count. Everett takes off a strap from his tights and calls for a Chokeslam. He goes for one, but Zayne just flips over and hits an enziguri. Zayne goes for a shoot star double stop but Everett avoids it. Everett hits a rotating flopsplash but only gets a 2-count. Both men seem overwhelmed.

Everett goes for a reverse Franksteiner, but Zayne counters it and lands on his feet, however Everett manages to hit it from the mat instead. Everett tries to capitalize by going for a shoot star press, but Zayne moves. Zayne hits the Shoot Star into a double stomp. Zayne nails a pumphandle driver for the win.

Winner: Alex Zayne

-After the match, Zayne and Everett hug and show respect. Fans applaud.

Match: MexiSquad (Bandido, Flamita) vs. The Briscoes

The announcer introduces them as “MexiSquad” which is a change from their name last month, MexiBlood. Probably sounded too much like Life Blood, which Bandido quietly left 2 months ago.

The Briscoes get a huge pop. They’re very over tonight.

Code of Honor is adhered to.

Mark and Flamito start the match. We see some quick action that ends when they both go for a dropkick, but neither man connect. They get to their feet, and Mark does a karate stance. Flamita responds with the Grosshopper stance and the fans laugh. Jay and Bandido are tagged in.

Bandido and Jay counter each others moves until Jay hits a hurricanrana. Bandido responds with a superkick. Both Briscoes knock Flamita off the apron. They try to double team Bandido, but Flamita enters the ring and takes them both out. Bandido hits a superkick to Jay, but Jay responds with a big boot.

Flamita and Jay battle in the middle of the ring. Flamita botches a head scissors so they do the whole sequence a second time and this time he nails it. Flamita goes up at least 6 feet from the ropes and hits a moonsault onto both Briscoes.

Bandido now goes off the ropes and hits a Shoot Star Press onto all three men, including his partner Flamita. The MexiSquad double team Mark. Jay tries to stop them, but they double team him as well. Bandido does the wheel barrel on Flamita that sends him into both Briscoes for a pin, but only gets a 1.

The Briscoes double team both Flamita and Bandido. Mark sets up a chair in the ring and jumps off of it onto the MexiSquad. Fans chant “This is awesome!” Mark nails the Cactus Jack elbow drop onto Flamita. Jay runs over Bandido in the ring with a shoulder block and goes for the pin, but he kicks out.

The Briscoes double team Bandido while Flamita recovers on the floor. Bandido launches over Jay’s back and dropkicks Mark out of the ring. Flamita joins Bandido now and they hit double dropkicks on Jay in the corner. Bandido launches Flamita over the top rope onto Mark. Bandido hits the X-Knee on Jay and gets an extremely close 2-count.

Bandido tags in Flamita. He hits a 450-Splash pin. Mark enters the ring and breaks up the pin. Mark and Flamita get into a shoving match in the middle of the ring. They trade blows now. Mark hits an overhead belly-to-belly. The Briscoes hit the Redneck Boogey. Flamita is able to kick out of it. Mark rushes Flamita in the corner but he gets a boot up. Jay enters the ring. Flamita goes off the turnbuckle and hits a double kick to both Briscoes at the same time.

Mark goes for a cover on Flamita, but Bandido breaks it up by hitting a German Suplex on Jay into both men. They slowly get to their feet and all four men trade blows. The Briscoes both go for clotheslines, but MexiSquad duck and hit stereo Spanish Flies.

They take out Bandido. Jay gets Flamita on his shoulders. Mark nails the Doomsday Device for the win.

Winners: The Briscoes

-After the match, both teams shake hands and celebrate in the ring.

-We see Jay and Mark Briscoes’ first match against each other in 2002. This is an intermission for the PPV.

Match: ROH Battle Royal

Several men are already out on the floor. Blue Meanie, Gangrel, Maria Manic, Kenny King, and Dragon Lee get special entrances. Kenny King is surprised to see Dragon Lee in the match since they’re on the same team. Gangrel spits blood in Kenny King’s face. The bell rings. Brian Johnson gets in Gangrel’s face. Gangrel hits a huge Impaler DDT. Dak Draper takes advantage and eliminates Gangrel. Draper eliminates LSG as well. WCW’s Crowbar and Elias are thrown out by Dak Draper.

Draper rushes Cheeseburger, but Cheeseburger pulls down the ropes and Draper falls to the outside. Dak Draper is eliminated.

The Bouncers start double teaming everyone. Blue Meanie joins the Bouncers and convinces them to do the Blue Meanie dance. They do. Fans are loving it. Brian Johnson sneaks in and tosses Meanie over the ropes. Fans boo. The Bouncers surround Johnson and take turns punching him. They attempt to eliminate him, but Johnson hangs on. PJ Black attacks the Bouncers and makes the save.

2Guys1Tag (Silas Young and Josh Woods) have been waiting outside the ring the whole time. Brian Johnson eliminates PJ Black from behind. He’s celebrating having just eliminated his tag team partner, but Maria Manic comes from behind. Maria sends him over with a Gorilla Press Slam. Titus gets her attention and they have a flex-off for some reason.

Titus shakes her hand as he’s impressed with her physique. She won’t let go of his hand. Titus rolls around and goes for a German Suplex, but realizes where his hands were. He stops apologizes for… groping her? She eliminates him.

Maria then eliminates both Bouncers at the same time over the top rope. Danhousen is so happy that she saved him. He wants a hug. She panders to the audience and does actually hug him. Then she shoves him down to the mat.

Silas Young enters the ring finally and shoves Maria. He says you want to beat a REAL man? Come on!

She chops him, but it doesnt phase him. He said hit him harder. She tells the fans to be quiet. She nails a chest chop. He does it back. Then he knees her in the stomach. She responds by nailing him. Silas hits a backbreaker, but the fans are booing it. He tries to eliminate her but she hangs on. Bully Ray comes out of nowhere and pulls her out. Silas celebrates in the ring as if he did it all.

Bully Ray grabs a steel chair and hits Maria in the back. He drags her to the table at ringside, then powerbombs her through it. Fans chant “asshole.”

Danhousen and Delirious bump into each other. Delirious tries talking but its all gibberish. Danhousen asks for his teeth, which the referee gives him. Delirious takes the teeth and swallows them all. Danhousen then hits a big boot and eliminates him.

Silas Young confronts Danhousen and goes to call him a “son of a bitch,” but Danhousen cuts him off and tells him not to swear. Silas eliminates him.

Cheeseburger tries to eliminate Silas. He hits a crossbody, but Silas holds on and tosses him over the ring. Cheeseburger lands on the apron and tries to pull Silas over the ropes, but Josh Woods grabs Silas’ foot and keeps him in. Silas clotheslines Cheeseburger off the apron and eliminates him.

2Guys1Tag team up to take on the final two competitors: Dragon Lee and Tracey Williams. Williams hits his turnbuckle DDT on Silas, but Woods attacks Williams. They battle in the middle of the ring, but Williams clotheslines Woods down. Williams tries to eliminate Woods, but Silas saves him. They double team Williams now. They dump over of the top rope.

They corner Dragon Lee now. Woods and Silas double team Dragon Lee with clotheslines and knee drops. After some miscommunication, Woods accidentally eliminates Silas Young. Dragon Lee eliminates Woods.

Kenny King comes from behind and tries to eliminate Dragon Lee, but Lee hangs on. Lee flips Kenny King over the top rope. Kenny looks surprised, but Dragon Lee takes off his mask to reveal… It’s actually Flip Gordon. Flip Gordon is freshly shaved wearing Dragon Lee’s attire.

Winner: Flip Gordon

Match: Session Moth Martina vs. Sumi Sakai

Most of this match is a comedy match that focuses primarily on the fact that Martina is wasted. Fans don’t know what to make of Session Moth Martina yet. Most of the wrestling is done by Sumi.

Session keeps taking breaks to drink from her beer. It seems to fire her up and she nails several clotheslines on Sumi. She nails a twisting suplex. Each time she goes for a pin, she nearly gets a three count. She goes for a third clothesline, but Sumi ducks it and hits a German suplex. Sumi rushes her in the corner, but Session knocks her down then lands a knee in her face. She goes for a pin but its once again a 2. Session hits a senton, but once again gets a 2. She’s getting frustrated.

Session takes a beer break. She hits a corner splash but only connects with the referee. She continues with a stink face because she thinks its Sumi. Meanwhile Sumi goes outside and grabs a steel chair. She nails Session in the back with it, then hits a DDT onto the chair. Sumi goes for the Smash Mouth but notices the referee isn’t up. She helps the referee back into the ring.

Sumi enters the ring, but Session nails the Jager-Bomb for the pin.

Winner: Session Moth Martina

Match: Dan Maff and Jeff Cobb vs. Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham

Code of Honor is adhered to even though it seemed a little rough.

The titles are not on the line, but winning would give Cobb and Maff a future title shot.

Gresham tries to chain wrestle, but Cobb just tosses him across the ring. Gresham tags in Lethal. They go to lock up, but Lethal says he wants Maff. Cobb tags in Maff.

Lethal chops Maff but it only fires him up. Maff chops Lethal and its sends him back. Lethal goes for another chop, but instead smacks Maff twice in the face. Maff does it back. Lethal goes to attack, but Maff sends him outside the ring. Lethal and Gresham recover outside the ring. Lethal tags in Gresham.

Maff hits a shoulder block on Gresham, but Gresham doesn’t go down. Gresham and Lethal go to double suplex Maff, but he reverses it and suplexes them instead. Lethal and Gresham double team Cobb in the middle of the ring. Maff goes to enter to help, but Lethal drop kicks him off the apron.

Both teams take turns take the other out. Cobb its the Tour of the Islands on Lethal, but Gresham breaks up the pin. Lethal hits the cutter on Cobb, but Maff breaks up the pin. Lethal and Gresham take Maff out of the ring. They hit continuous suicide dives on Maff to finally take him down. Gresham locks in a headlock on Maff on the outside to keep him out.

Lethal applies to a figure four to Cobb inside the ring. Maff carries Gresham into the ring on his back. Maff hits a Death Valley Driver to Gresham ontop of Lethal to break up the submission.

Maff spears Gresham. Cobb its a Stampede on Lethal. Maff is tagged in. Lethal goes for the cutter on Maff, but Maff catches him and turns it into the burning hammer. Gresham comes in and frees Lethal. Gresham dives outside onto Cobb. Lethal goes for a Cutter again, but once again Maff turns it into the Burning Hammer. This time he nails it for the win.

Winners: Jeff Cobb and Dan Maff

Match: Rey Horus vs. Brody King

King is able to manhandle Horus early on. Horus tries to use his speed but Brody’s power is too much. Brody controls most of the beginning. Horus is finally able to put a stop to him when he sends him outside the ring and launches onto him. However, back inside the ring, Brody hits a monster clothesline and a jumping piledriver. He goes for a pin, but Horus kicks out at 2. Brody reminds the referee that he dropped Horus on his head and there’s no way he kicked out. The referee says its 2.

Brody stomps on Horus in the corner. Horus tries to make a comeback, but Brody clotheslines him once again. Horus flips so hard that he lands on Brody’s back. Brody hits the Gonzo-bomb for the win.

Winner: Brody King

-We get a promo for the upcoming match featuring Marty Scurll and Nick Aldis.

Match: Nick Aldis and Rush vs. Marty Scurll and PCO

Out first is NWA World Heavyweight champion, Nick Aldis. Second is Rush. Both men receive a decent reaction from fans. Marty Scurll gets a major pop from the crowd. PCO gets a decent reaction as well.

Rush takes control early on. He keeps PCO down. PCO manages to hit a knee to the gut and tags in Scurll. The Villains double team Rush. Rush tags in Nick Aldis.

Aldis and Scurll trade offensive moves now. The Villains double team Aldis in the middle of the ring. Aldis rolls out for a break, however, Scrull hops onto the apron and superkicks him. PCO goes off for a PCO bomb on the apron, but Aldis moves. Aldis clotheslines Scurll.

Rush chokes PCO with the camera wire outside the ring, then tosses him back in the ring. Aldis lays in some stomps and tells him that he’s not much a monster now. Aldis tags in Rush. They double team PCO in the corner. Rush stomps away on PCO in the corner. Rush pretends to do the Bull’s Horns, then kicks PCO in the face and poses in the ring.

Rush applies an armbar through the ropes onto PCO while Aldis distracts the referee. PCO makes a comeback and takes down both Rush and Aldis, then tags in Scurll.

Scurll does a fake-out superkick, but kicks Aldis’s knee instead. He calls for the Chickenwing. The fans are behind him. Aldis just turns around and decks him. He shakes his head while the fans boo. Aldis nails a suplex and goes for the pin, but only a 2 count. Dual “Lets Go Marty” and “Lets Go Aldis” chants.

Rush chokes Scurll in the corner while PCO has the referee distracted trying to get in the ring. Scurll makes a desperate tag to PCO.

PCO is fired up and clotheslines both me. Rush attacks him from behind, but it doesn’t affect PCO. Rush goes to charge, but PCO spears him. Scurll gets in the ring and chops PCO to get him hyped up. Scurll sends PCO over the top ropes onto Aldis and Rush. PCO sends Aldis into the ring.

Scurll goes for a DDT, but Aldis reverses it into a Tombstone piledriver. Aldis goes to the top turnbuckle, but PCO trips him. Scurll hits a Superplex. PCO with a senton splash and goes for the pin, but Rush breaks it up. Fans boo.

The heels double team PCO for several minutes until PCO pulls Rush close to him and Aldis accidentally lands on him for an elbow drop. Rush pushes Aldis and tells him to forget it. Rush abandons Aldis in the ring.

Aldis rolls out and grabs the NWA title. He rolls back in the ring and goes to hit PCO with it, but Scurll comes from behind and does the Finger Breaker. PCO hits a chokeslam, then a PCO-ssault for the win.

Winners: Marty Scurll and PCO

-After the match, Marty Scurll grabs a microphone. Nick Aldis is leaving through the crowd. Scurll tells him to stop. He accepts a match between the two. Scurll says if he wins he’ll become NWA champion. However if Aldis wins, Scurll will write him a check for half a million dollars.

Scurll tells Nick Aldis that his opponent for SuperCard of Honor is ROH World Heavyweight Champion PCO.
