WWE taped the Backlash pay-per-view match between Randy Orton and WWE Hall of Famer Edge on Sunday at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, not the whole pay-per-view as reported before.
The match reportedly had a lot of selling, according to Wrestling Observer Radio. The match, being billed as “The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever” by WWE, was said to be really long.
It was also noted that the idea behind the match was “very much” to do the best wrestling match that they could possibly put on. The match was said to be “really, really good” and a source said it was “two very smart workers working very hard to have the smartest match they possibly could under the circumstances.”
Orton vs. Edge and the rest of the Backlash card will air this Sunday on the WWE Network. Stay tuned for more.
