AEW has announced Lance Archer vs. Ricky Starks in a match for the World Title Eliminator Tournament for Friday’s Rampage episode, but the match was not taped last night in Boston with the rest of the Rampage matches.
However, AEW did tape two tournament matches last night as Bandido defeated Rush, and Brian Cage defeated Dante Martin.
Regarding the Starks vs. Archer match, PWInsider reports that AEW will use last night’s angle with Archer attacking Starks backstage to explain why their announced match isn’t happening on Rampage. The match will likely be pushed back to next Wednesday’s Dynamite from Bridgeport, CT.
Ethan Page vs. Bandido will now take place at a later date, as well as Cage vs the winner of Archer vs. Starks. The finals at Full Gear will be Page or Bandido vs. Archer or Starks or Cage. The winner will then receive a shot at the AEW World Title on December 14 at the Winter Is Coming edition of AEW Dynamite.
