SPOILERS: February NXT Tapings From Full Sail

Below are the results of tonight’s NXT Tapings on the road to Takeover on WrestleMania weekend. (h/t Wrestling Inc.)

– Dark Match: Luke Menzies defeated Sean Maluta

-Video package showcasing highlights from NXT Takeover Phoenix

-New North American champion Johnny Gargano comes out to start the show. Crowd gives him a “you deserve it” chant. This brings out Tommaso Ciampa who congratulates Johnny, telling him that he followed his lead and now they’re both a champion because of it. Johnny fires back saying that the only reason he came out to stand next to Ciampa is to prove that he doesn’t need him.

-Velveteen Dream interrupts them. Dream says that the wasn’t even on the card and he still stole the show just by being there. He then informs them that as the winner of the Worlds Collide tournament (results here) he gets a title opportunity, and he chooses Johnny Gargano. Johnny accepts, stating that he represented NXT in the Royal Rumble, and is ready to defend. Dream asks Johnny which version of him will show up in their match: “Johnny Wrestling, or Johnny Jackass.” Segment ends.

-Jaxson Ryker defeated Mansoor. Following the match the rest of the Forgotten Sons come out for a promo, claiming that they will be the ones to dethrone the War Raiders for the NXT tag team championship.

-Drew Gulak defeated Eric Bugenhagen. Gulak calls himself the best technician from 205, and berates Bugenhagen for being poor competition. This brings out Matt Riddle, who challenges Gulak on the spot.

-Matt Riddle defeated Drew Gulak.

-Io Shirai & Kairi Sane & Bianca Belair defeated Shayna Baszler & Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir. (Shirai pinned Baszler after a moonsault.)

-Johnny Gargano versus Velveteen Dream is announced for the tapings.

-Dominik Dijakovic defeated Shane Thorne.

-Humberto Carrillo and Stacey Ervin Jr come out for a match, but get interrupted by Kassius Ohno. Ohno tells the Full Sail Crowd that he’s sick of seeing their ugly faces, and that he’s leaving NXT, claiming that it’s 2019 and he has “other places” to go where he’s appreciated. Keith Lee appears and lays Ohno out. He tells Ohno not to let the door hit him in the ass on the way out, before apologizing to Ervin Jr and Carrillo for interrupting.

-Street Profits defeated Humberto Carriloo & Stacey Ervin Jr. Following the match, the Profits call out the War Raiders, but Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel answer instead. Then Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, all who claim that they deserve an opportunity. Finally the War Raiders enter. Rowe and Hanson say there’s a lot of talk but no fighting. Undisputed Era attack them from behind and toss them at the other three teams in the ring. War Raiders eventually overpower them all to stand tall, and share a staredown with Undisputed Era.

-Aliyah defeated Taynara Conti. Vanessa Bourne comes out to celebrate with Aliya until Shayna Baszler’s music hits. Duke and Shafir blindside Aliyah and Bourne, beating them down. Shayna gets on the mic and says that this is what happens when you get in their way.

-Ricochet defeated Adam Cole. Undisputed Era attacks Ricochet post-match. Aleister Black runs down to make the save, but gets nailed with a superkick from Cole. They pose with Ricochet and Black laid out.

-Keith Lee defeated Kassius Ohno.

-Aleister Black defeated Roderick Strong. Undisputed Era ran down for another attack but Black nails O’Reilly with the Black Mass right as he enters the ring. Ricochet runs out and he and Black clear the ring.

-Mia Yim defeated Xia Li. Baszler, Shafir, and Duke assault Mia after the match. Lacey Lane, MJ Jenkins, and Jessie run down to make the save, but the MMA women handle them all.

-Velveteen Dream defeated Johnny Gargano to become the new NXT North American champion. (Report says this match was amazing. Dream wins with the Purple Rainmaker elbow.)

-In a surprising twist…Gargano and Dream came back out, and they reshot the ending…this time with Gargano tapping out Dream with the Gargano escape to retain. He would then pose on the ramp with Ciampa much like they did at the end of Takeover Phoenix.
