Steve Austin Thinks His Retirement Match With The Rock Could’ve Been Better

Steve Austin made an appearance on the latest edition of WWE’s The Bump to discuss a wide range of topics.

During it, he talked about working with The Rock at WrestleMania 19 in 2003, which turned out to be Austin’s final match. The WWE Hall of Famer thought the match could’ve been better.

“Nobody really knew this was going to be my last match; The Rock knew, and a couple of guys in management knew. I was going to go ride off into the sunset. I defeated The Rock two times prior at WrestleMania, and at WrestleMania 17, we rocked the house… I thought the match was good, but it could have been better.
