AEW women’s division star Tay Melo recently took to Twitter to comment on her career in the pro-wrestling industry so far, one that the Brazilian sensation and judo specialist credits AEW and her former employer, WWE, for giving her. Melo thanks both companies immensely for giving her the opportunity to show the world who she is.
Her full tweet reads, “I’m grateful for every opportunity I had in life. Thank you WWE to find me in 🇧🇷 and offer me a future that I could never imagine I would have. Thank you AEW for giving me a second chance, to show me that things were not done & I was just in the beginning. Thank you PRO WRESTLING.”
Since signing with AEW Melo has been featured nicely in the women’s division. She wrestled on multiple pay-per-views, including challenging for the TBS championship at this year’s Revolution event. Melo has since aligned with her real-life husband Sammy Guevara, and is a heel with the Jericho Appreciation Society.
