Tessa Blanchard Reportedly Did Not Attend Most Recent IMPACT Tapings, World Title Match Postponed?

According to the Wrestling Observer, IMPACT world champion Tess Blanchard did not attend the most recent IMPACT tapings in Nashville, which ended on April 10th and provided the promotion with another 5-7 weeks of television to air on AXS TV.

Part of those tapings included the IMPACT Rebellion special, a former PPV that was canceled due to COVID-19 and has now become a two-night television event. Blanchard was set to defend her title in a triple threat bout against Eddie Edwards and Michael Elgin, but that match appears to be postponed due to Blanchard’s absence. Reports are that she made the decision on her own not to travel for the show.

While it is not known exactly who was in attendance, the headlining bout for night one is still advertised as Ken Shamrock versus former world champion Sami Callihan. The Draw had originally stated that he would not wrestle until the pandemic was over. Talents from Canada, which include the tag team champions Ethan Page and Josh Alexander were unable to travel because of the lockdown.
