The men’s and women’s Money in the Bank matches for the briefcase were taped three weeks ago.
This indicates that Apollo Crews’ abrupt push was always meant as a red-herring to keep AJ Styles off TV until the last minute. Crews won a 6 man tag team match last week, but ended the show with an injury angle that removed him from the Money in the Bank match. A returning AJ Styles won a gauntlet match last night on Raw where the winner would take the vacated spot.
WWE Money in the Bank takes place this Sunday, May 10th, on the WWE network. Most of the matches outside of the ladder matches were recorded recently at the Performance Center in Florida.
