WWE superstar The Miz recently appeared on the New Day: Feel The Power podcast to talk all things pro-wrestling, where the A-lister revealed that he had never spoke to current Raw women’s champion Asuka prior to them being teamed up for the first ever Mixed Match Challenge.
It was a random pairing, I don’t think I even talked to Asuka before we started working together on Mixed Match Challenge and all of a sudden they were like, ‘You’re with Asuka.’ We start talking, she didn’t understand what I was saying, I didn’t understand what she was saying, but someway, somehow, we just clicked. Speaking wrestling is a completely different language than English and Japanese. When we came together, we would speak wrestling and understand each other. She is so good at going off of something, she can feel an emotion and be able to relay that. I had a blast working with Asuka.
