We reported last night that former NWA superstar Ricky Starks had signed with AEW following his debut matchup against Cody Rhodes. Starks put up a valiant effort, but could not best The American Nightmare in singles-competition.
AEW President Tony Khan would reveal on Twitter that Starks performance alone sold Khan on giving him a contract. When asked by a fan whether the contract offer came before or after Khan writes, “After. Legitimately. His performance on #AEWDynamite really did seal the deal in my eyes and on paper and in reality.”
