Despite being pulled from ROH Final Battle due to COVID-19 concerns, EC3 reportedly plans on returning to ROH to fulfill his feud with Jay Briscoe.
It was reported earlier today that EC3 and three other wrestlers have been pulled from the ROH Final Battle pay-per-view due to their pre-travel coronavirus testing. EC3 was scheduled to face Briscoe in a Grudge Match. Furthermore, it was reported earlier this week that EC3 is set to become a free agent again soon as he will be “freed up” when 2021 hits. It was noted in that report that EC3 remains on good terms with Impact Wrestling, and it sounds like a return there could be a possibility, but not confirmed.
In an update, Fightful Select reports that EC3 has confirmed that he fully intends on returning to ROH in order to fulfill his storyline with Briscoe. EC3 wants to see things through creatively and plans on wrapping up the feud when he can.
ROH’s announcement noted that the four wrestlers will be able to return to action in 2021 when the company runs again.
