WWE 205 LIVE RESULTS (10/25/2019)

After the video package for 205 Live concludes, we shoot live inside the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri where the announcers welcome us to this week’s show.

Non-Title Match:
Lio Rush (C) vs. Oney Lorcan

From there, Lio Rush’s theme music hits the loud speakers inside the Sprint Center and out comes the reigning NXT Cruiserweight Champion. As he makes his way to the ring we are shown highlights of NXT from two days ago.

Then, Oney Lorcan’s theme music hits and out comes “The Boston Brawler” to the squared circle for tonight’s opening bout, which features Lorcan vs. Rush in a non-title match.

The announcers point out that this is the first time these two have ever competed inside the ring on this particular brand, 205 Live, and that tonight marks the first time in 8 months that Rush has wrestled on 205 Live.

The two lock hands for a test of strength, which Lorcan wins early on, to kick off the action inside the ring as soon as the bell sounds to start the bout. Rush breaks free and uses his speed and agility, doing cartwheels and flips to lock Lorcan’s arm up.

Lorcan breaks free and slaps a headlock on the NXT Cruiserweight Champion. He shoves him down, hits the ropes and ends up putting Rush in a side head lock on the mat. Rush fights back including a flying splash onto Lorcan on the floor near the announce desk.

Back in the ring, Lorcan hits a running Blockbuster on Rush for a close near fall. He remains in control for a few more moments, but then Lio Rush starts getting back into the contest.

Rush hits the Come Up on Lorcan and heads to the top rope. He comes flying off with the Final Hour and lands it successfully. He covers “The Boston Brawler” and gets the 1-2-3 for the clean victory.

Winner: Lio Rush

After The Match: Tony Nese Tells Lio Rush To Take A Seat

Following the match, Lio Rush celebrates with the NXT Cruiserweight Championship in the ring while highlights of the match are shown and the announcers debate the name of Lio Rush’s finishers.

After that, Tony Nese’s theme hits and out he comes to the ring. Nese in sarcastc fashion says he speaks for everyone in the back when he says everyone truly missed his presence in the 205 Live locker room. Nese says beating Oney Lorcan is impressive, but he did the same, and by beating him and Ariya Daivari at the same time.

Nese tells Rush he’s going to do him a favor. He’s going to let him pull up a chair and sit ringside and watch him wrestle. He says he’s going to show him what a real champion looks like. He says go ahead and get out of the ring and watch. Nese’s music plays again and eventually Rush sits at ringside.

Tony Nese vs. Raul Mendoza

When we return from a quick break, we see the NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush has joined the 205 Live announcers at the commentary desk for this next match up.

With that said we see Nese still in the ring as Raul Mendoza’s theme music hits and out he comes to the ring for our second match of the evening here on 205 Live in Kansas City.

The bell sounds and here we go with our second bout of this week’s 205 Live. Early on the announcing of Lio Rush was featured more than anything in the ring. The action was back-and-forth and pretty basic for the early portion while Lio Rush let his personality shine on commentary.

Now the action is picking up in the ring, with Nese dominating and showing off, taking time to talk trash to Rush from the ring on a few ocassions. A graphic flashes up on the screen showing a tweet from Angel Garza dissing Lio Rush and his commentary during this match, which the announcers ask Rush to address. He does so.

Meanwhile Mendoza is taking over the offense in the ring and is finally getting some showcase time and spots. After getting a few close near falls, Nese starts to fight back and is now once again taking over, slapping Mendoza in a sign of arrogance.

Mendoza has had enough, as he fires up and blasts Nese with punches over and over again after getting slapped one-too many times. Nese again cuts Mendoza’s comeback attempt, dropping to the ground and sweeping his leg. Mendoza goes out of the ring so Nese does a crazy suicide dive and splashes onto him, and then popping up to again talk trash to Rush.

Now Rush stands up from his seat at the announce table while Nese and Mendoza re-enter the ring. Rush’s distraction provides Mendoza the ability to roll-up Nese from behind while he was unprepared. 1-2-3. Mendoza wins. Rush gloats. Nese is pissed.

Winner: Raul Mendoza

The Bollywood Boyz Backstage Segment

We see The Bollywood Boyz (The Singh Bros) are backstage in a promo segment. They gloat about being the number one draft pick in the Bollywood draft. They also brag about capturing the WWE 24/7 Championship.

The Brian Kendrick Interrupts Announcers For Promo

When we return from the segment, the announcers are joking about The Bollywood Boyz as The Brian Kendrick comes out of nowhere and stands on the commentary desk.

He cuts a promo talking about what it used to take to become a pro wrestler and get to call yourself a pro wrestler compared to what it takes now-a-days. As he drones on and on for what seems like a really long time, the fans finally start chanting “Shut Up! Shut Up! Shut Up!” at him. He tells them to shut up because they’ll never understand what it takes to become a professional wrestler.

He says Drake Maverick, the 205 Live G.M., is the worst offender of them-all. He says he’ll be waiting here tonight, next week and every week until he gets the answer from Drake Maverick that he wants. He drops the mic, his music plays and he leaves. The announcers then discuss what he just spoke about.

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs. Ariya Daivari

We see a tweet from Ariya Daivari that the announcers talk about and then we see a tweet from Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, followed by highlights of him winning on NXT on USA two days ago.

From there, we shoot back live inside the Sprint Center where Isaiah “Swerve” Scott’s theme hits and out he comes to the ring. After him is his opponent for tonight, Ariya Daivari.

The bell sounds and here we go. Within seconds “Swerve” Scott is doing hand-stands and leg-scissoring Daivari across the ring and out to the floor, before following up with a crazy dive and splash onto Daivari.

Daivari with a shot to Scott’s throat turns the tide, now he sends him sailing out to the floor outside the ring. Daivari follows out after him and slams him into the ring steps and then the barricade. Back in the ring, he whips him face-first into the turnbuckles.

Highlights are shown as Daivari tells the boo’ing fans in Kansas City to shut up. He picks Scott back up and goes to work on him in the corner with strikes. Daivari enjoys a comfortable offensive lead for a few minutes until Scott uses his innovative offensive style to regain some footing in the match.

Scott is firing up now with a comeback and is flying all over the ring landing shots on Daivari. Scott tries to play to the crowd to get some fan encouragement as he continues his attack on Daivari with a German Suplex and a Flatliner for a near fall. He pounds the mat with his hands out of frustration that Daivari is still alive and fighting.

“Swerve” Scott tries to hook Daivari up from behind, but Daivari pushes backwards with force into the turnbuckle to break the hold. Daivari snatches Scott up and hoists him up and slams him down with authority for a near fall. He yells “You think this is your house? This is MY house! Do you understand me?!?” as he saps Scott. Scott stands up and blasts Daivari with some knife edge chops and then a big kick before a big rolling elbow by Daivari sends Scott outside the ropes but still on the apron.

He comes back in the ring but walks right into a boot to the grill from Daivari. Scott ends up blasting Daivari moments later, setting him up for his finisher. He gets it. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott then picks up the win via pin fall over Daivari. That does it for this week’s show as Scott celebrates his victory in the ring as his music plays, the announcers sing his praises and a dejected Daivari begins making his way to the back.

Thanks for joining us! We’ll see you next week — same time, same place!

Winner: Isaiah “Swerve” Scott
