WWE Changes Up Writing Teams, Paul Heyman Removed

According to Ryan Satin, WWE has made the decision to combine the writing team for Smackdown and Raw. This singular team will be led by Bruce Prichard. Paul Heyman will now strictly be an on-air personality. UPDATE: WWE confirms.

Last June, Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff were made Executive Directors of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown, respectively. Bischoff’s role was to relate directly with the network executives at Fox. While Paul Heyman remained on Raw, Bischoff was quickly fired and replaced by Bruce Prichard after rumors began circulating that he wasn’t cut out for the job.

Prichard, the former Brother Love, has had many roles within the WWE. He’s been a producer, talent relations, and on-air personality. He was also a part of the creative team in the 1990s alongside Vince McMahon and Pat Patterson.
