A new report has surfaced claiming that the 2023 WWE Day 1 event has been canceled.

According to WrestleNomics, WWE will not be presenting the event, which only premiered back in January of this year. This means that as of right now there will be no premium live event between Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble.

While not confirmed a suspected reason that Day 1 was pulled is so WWE would not have to compete with the NFL’s final Sunday Night Football game of the year, which is a highly anticipated matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers.

The 2022 Day 1 show took place from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta and saw Brock Lesnar become the new WWE champion after defeating Big E, Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens in a Fatal-Five way main event matchup. Also on the card was Becky Lynch defeating Liv Morgan, and the Usos retaining the tag team titles over the New Day.
