WWE Grants Rob Gronkowski His Release Following 24/7 Loss

Rob Gronkowski has been released from the WWE after a 2 month stint according the WrestlingInc.

Gronkowski requested his release so that he could pursue his career in the NFL and WWE has granted it. The release was made official after Gronkowski lost the 24/7 title to R-Truth on Monday Night Raw. He exercised a clause in his contract that relieves him of all future commitments with the company. Gronkowski is joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There is still a no-compete clause in his contract following his release but no timeframe has been made public yet.

Rob Gronkowski was only with the company for 10 weeks where he won the 24/7 and helped host WrestleMania.
