Inside Look Part 1: Piper Niven
I am NXT UK Superstar, Piper Niven. I’m from beautiful Ayrshire, Scotland. I fell in love wrestling. It was a very specific day. I was sick, home from school, and I remember it was way back when it was cable. And suddenly, i flipped through and there was fireworks and these lights and The Undertaker was beating up someone soon. And I just thought, this is amazing. What is this? I’ve never seen anything like this before. And I was completely captivated by it. I didn’t start training until I was 16 years old. It was something I loved and it was a good time. I didn’t think it was something I was going to be any good at.
And for the start, it took me a while to get used to and learn it. And then after a while I started to think, oh, i could actually be quite good. Maybe that’s a real thing. Maybe I could actually be a wrestler. I don’t know. It sounds strange, but always a part of me always used to tell my mom, i’m going to be famous. And she would say in singing? No, something else. I don’t know what it is, but something. And, well, I guess I was right, yeah? My family went absolutely nuts. They were so supportive about me coming here and being here.
They’re really proud of me and they just want me to do my best and they know i’ll make them proud. Now that i’m here at NXT UK, I have a few goals and aspirations. Of course i’m keeping my sights on the NXT UK Women’s Championship. But other than that, I really want to be a role model. I know there are so many kids out there that don’t feel confident in themselves and aren’t living their dreams or having the best life that they could because they don’t feel good about themselves. I want them to channel into the show and see me and know that if i’m dong what I want to do, they can do what they want to do too.
Second Match: Killer Kelly vs. Isla Dawn
Dawn avoids The Running Pump Kick. Dawn with a Wrist Lock Suplex. Dawn maintains wrist control. Dawn applies a single leg crab. Kelly grabs the bottom rope to force the break. Imperium starts brawling with Gallus and Ilja Dragunov to close the show.
